How we test & rank
Trust is the whole business. Here’s exactly how a product or place earns its place on The Local Edit.
1. We buy or borrow
We get our own units where we can — no cherry-picked review samples deciding the outcome.
2. We test to a rubric
Every product in a category faces the same fixed criteria, scored independently.
3. We rank on merit
Scores — not commissions or sponsorships — decide the order and the “best of” picks.
4. We keep it current
We re-test and update as new models launch and prices change.
