Tanglin Roast began in 2016 when a home barista grew tired of stale supermarket beans and over-extracted cafe coffee. So he bought a 1kg sample roaster, set it up on a Tiong Bahru shophouse rooftop, and started roasting small batches for friends — fresh, traceable and roasted to order.
Word spread fast through Singapore’s coffee community. Our Kopi Tanglin House Blend and Ethiopia Yirgacheffe became local favourites, and today we roast over 420,000 bags a year out of a proper roastery in Bukit Merah, delivery islandwide within 48 hours of roast.
Everything we sell is specialty-grade — ethically sourced, cupping-scored 84 and above, and roasted in small, dated batches. If a coffee does not earn its place on the cupping table, it does not make it into a bag. We roast it fresh; you brew it at its best.
