The four-step test every code passes

Before an offer appears on Snaggle, an editor runs it through the same four checks. It’s unglamorous work, but it’s the difference between a code that works at checkout and one that wastes your time.

1. Does it apply? We add real items to a live cart on the store’s own site and confirm the code actually reduces the price — not just that it’s “accepted”.
2. What’s the real minimum? Many codes hide a minimum spend or only kick in above a threshold. We record the true figure so a S$50 voucher doesn’t strand you a few dollars short.
3. What’s excluded? Sale items, gift cards, fresh produce, selected merchants — exclusions vary wildly. We list them in the offer terms instead of letting you find out at payment.
4. When does it end? We log the expiry and re-check it daily. The “expiring soon” page is built from these dates, so the countdowns stay honest.

If a code stops working, we strike it out rather than quietly deleting it — so you can see it was real and simply ran its course. Most failures are stock running out early, especially in fashion and travel, not bait.
