Photography is how Mara chooses to speak. With every frame she tries to freeze the evanescence of life and beauty — and to make a viewer feel something before they can name it.

Mara Quek is a fashion, beauty and portrait photographer based in Singapore, working across editorial and commercial assignments and travelling for clients across Asia. Her work marries an artist’s eye with a clear commercial sensibility — images that move people and move product. She began in animation, specialising in lighting and rendering, before turning the same obsession with light onto real faces.
