Twenty years of Tokyo, brought home
Kaito Mori spent two decades behind the chair in Tokyo and Aoyama salons, where a haircut is treated as quiet craft — read slowly, cut precisely, finished with restraint. When he settled in Singapore, he wanted to build a room with that same unhurried discipline, sized for local hair and the humidity it lives in.
Sora opened in 2014 as a deliberately small atelier: one chair at a time, generous appointments, a real consultation before any scissors. No noise, no overbooking, no being passed from hand to hand halfway through.
Today the team is still small and still trained the Japanese way — precision dry-cutting, scalp-first head spa, soft heat-set perms and hand-mixed colour. We measure success not in how many chairs we turn, but in how many guests come back, and how good their hair looks a month after they leave.
Why guests stay with Sora
Trained in Japan, finished in Singapore
Our directors trained in Tokyo salons and brought that discipline home — precision dry-cutting, soft perms, scalp-first care, adapted to local hair and weather.
A cut read to your hair
We cut to how your hair actually grows and falls, not to a fixed style off a chart, so it flatters you and grows out gracefully.
The scalp comes first
Beautiful hair starts at a healthy scalp. Our head spa and care routines treat the root, not just the lengths.
Honest, hair-first advice
We would rather stage a service or recommend a treatment than push your hair past what is safe. We tell you the truth.
A calm, unhurried room
No noise, no overbooking, no being passed around. One stylist, your full appointment, time to actually relax.
You leave knowing how
Every guest gets the two or three moves and the products to recreate the look at home, so it works on an ordinary morning too.
How we look after your hair
Japanese-trained stylists
Every Sora stylist is trained in Japanese cutting and care technique, and re-trained in-house each season. Skill, not turnover.
Hair-health first
We will stage a colour, talk you out of a service, or send you home with a treatment plan if it protects your hair. Long game, always.
Unhurried, by appointment
One guest at a chair, generous time, a calm room. We run on time and we never rush a cut to fit another in.
