Your questions, answered

How a project starts, what it costs, the design fee, maintenance, tree work, plants and how we handle your details.

It starts with understanding your space. Send us a few photos and a rough idea — or use the Garden Project Estimator for an instant budget range — then book a consultation. We visit, look at the conditions (sun, shade, drainage, access) and talk through how you want to use the garden. From there we draw a concept and planting plan with mood boards, and give you a clear, itemised quote before any work begins.
It depends enormously on the area, the scope and the finish level — a small planting refresh is a few thousand dollars, while a full design-and-build of a large garden runs much higher. Our Garden Project Estimator gives you an honest budget range from your garden size, scope and finish in seconds, and the firm quote comes after a site consultation. Maintenance is separate and starts from $120 a visit.
Yes, there is a design fee — it pays for the real work of surveying your site, developing a concept and planting plan, and producing the mood boards and drawings. But if you go ahead and build the garden with us, the design fee is credited against the build, so for most clients it effectively folds into the project. It’s an investment in getting the garden right, not a sunk cost.
Absolutely, and it’s the best way to protect the investment. We offer weekly, fortnightly and monthly maintenance contracts, with the same team caring for the garden they know — pruning, feeding, weeding, seasonal replanting and an eye on plant and tree health. A designed garden looks its best with knowledgeable upkeep, and keeping the design team involved means it grows in exactly as intended.
Yes. Our trained, insured arborists handle pruning, crown reduction, cabling and safe removal with proper rigging, plus stump grinding and replanting if you want the space to live on. We assess a tree’s health first — a leaning or thinning tree doesn’t always need to come down. For any regulated tree work we sort out the NParks approvals for you, so the paperwork never lands on your desk.
We choose plants suited to the exact spot — the sun, shade, wind and the time you’ll have to maintain them — rather than whatever looks good in a catalogue. That’s why our planting establishes and lasts. Stock we supply comes with a plant guarantee, because we’re confident in both the selection and how we plant and improve the soil. If a guaranteed plant fails to establish, we replace it.
Both. Some of our favourite projects are small — a balcony transformed with the right pots and a vertical garden, a tiny courtyard turned into a retreat. The same design thinking applies whether it’s 20 square metres or an estate, and the Garden Project Estimator covers everything from a small refresh upwards. Good design matters more, not less, in a compact space.
Everything you share — your number, site photos and the plans we draw up — stays with the people working on your garden and nowhere else, exactly as Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) requires. It is used purely to design, quote and deliver the project; it is never sold or handed on, and the designs we create remain yours.
