Roadster began with a familiar feeling: standing at a rental counter watching a quoted price quietly double — the “mandatory” insurance, the airport surcharge, the deposit nobody mentioned online. Charmaine Yeo had spent eight years running fleet for a logistics firm and knew exactly how the trick worked. So she built the opposite.

Every Roadster rate is all-in: comprehensive insurance, road tax and unlimited mileage are part of the price you see, not an upsell at the desk. The fleet is clean, recent and fully maintained, the team answers WhatsApp at odd hours, and the price the website quotes is the price you pay. Nothing is bundled in without you choosing it.

Today we run 120 cars across six classes out of Kallang and Jurong East, plus a 24/7 Changi meet-and-greet — but the promise is the same as day one: a fair price, a good car, and no games at return.

Questions, answered

You need to be at least 22 years old with a valid driving licence held for at least a year — a Singapore licence, or a foreign licence with an International Driving Permit if it isn’t in English. Bring the physical licence and a photo ID to collection. For the luxury class we ask for a minimum age of 25 and two years of driving, because of the higher car value.

Comprehensive insurance, road tax and unlimited Singapore mileage are all included in the price you see — there’s no separate “mandatory insurance” added at the counter. What’s extra is fuel (you return it at the level you collected it), the optional zero-excess upgrade, and any add-ons like a child seat, GPS or a second named driver. The search price is the all-in price for your dates.

They’re automatic. A booking of seven days or more takes 15% off the daily rate; twenty-eight days or more takes 28% off. You don’t need a code — the longer you book, the lower the per-day price, and the Rental Quote Builder shows you the discounted figure before you reserve. Monthly hires also include a class swap once a month and we handle the servicing.

Yes. Add the airport meet-and-greet to any hire and our team meets you at T1–T4 arrivals, hands over the keys at the kerb and gets you driving in minutes — no shuttle to an off-site lot. Returns can go to the airport or to either branch, and airport collection runs 24/7 by arrangement, so a late flight is no problem if you’ve told us the time.

A refundable security deposit is held against your card at collection and released when the car comes back in the same condition. The amount depends on the class — modest for an economy car, higher for the luxury class. Taking the zero-excess insurance option removes the damage excess entirely, so the deposit is far smaller and a minor scrape is fully covered.

Yes, with a heads-up. Tell us when you book that you’re heading to Johor or beyond, and we’ll confirm the cross-border insurance extension and make sure the VEP and autopass paperwork is sorted before you go. The SUV and sedan classes are the most popular for a JB run. There’s a small cross-border surcharge to cover the extended insurance.

Call our 24/7 roadside line first — for a flat battery, a puncture or a no-start we can often get you moving on the spot, and if not we arrange a replacement car so your trip continues. In an accident, make sure everyone is safe, take photos, file a police report if required, and call us; with comprehensive cover in place we handle the claim and the paperwork from there.

You can pay by PayNow, all major cards, NETS or Atome at the counter or online when you reserve. The refundable security deposit is held on a card. We’ll send an itemised confirmation up front breaking down the hire, the insurance and any add-ons line by line — there’s nothing hidden and nothing added at return beyond fuel if you bring it back lower than you collected it.

Your contact details, licence and booking information are kept private and handled exactly as Singapore’s PDPA expects. They exist to set up your rental, arrange insurance and follow up about your booking — nothing more. We don’t sell your data or send marketing blasts, and your licence scan is stored securely only for as long as the rental requires.
