I started Renée Eats because I was tired of paid “reviews” that all said the same thing. This is honest, where-to-eat coverage from someone who actually pays for most of her meals.
Renée Tan is a Singapore food and lifestyle creator covering the island’s new openings, cafés, hawker heroes and the food she eats when she travels. What began as a phone full of meal photos is now a community of over a quarter-million people across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
Her rule is simple: clear verdicts, real prices and no gatekeeping. Sponsored content is always labelled, and a paid collaboration never buys a good review — only an honest one. The Makan Finder tool grew out of the question she gets most: “Renée, where should I eat tonight?”
Based in Singapore, she travels across the region for food trails and works with F&B brands, tourism boards and lifestyle labels on content that her audience actually trusts.
