The Orchard Ballroom is the room you book when the guest list is the brief. Pillarless and column-free, it seats up to 280 at round tables or holds 400 standing, with a foyer for reception drinks and two breakout rooms for a holding area, a tea ceremony or a quiet corner for the speeches no one wants overheard.

It runs on banquet packages rather than bare hourly hire, which is how most Singapore weddings and dinner-and-dance events prefer to budget — a per-table price with the menu, the basic AV and the service staff built in. The in-house kitchen does Chinese banquet and buffet equally well, and the team is used to the choreography of a march-in, a multi-course dinner and a dance floor in one evening.

For a wedding, an annual dinner or a large corporate gala, this is a safe, generous room in the most accessible part of town. We list it because the service is consistent and the space genuinely flexes from a formal sit-down to a standing reception without feeling cavernous when the numbers are lower.
