Driftwood is for people whose idea of a holiday is sand between the toes from the moment they wake up. It is a relaxed two-bedroom chalet set right on a quiet Desaru beach — no pool, because the sea is quite literally the front yard.

The verandah is the heart of it: hammocks, a grill, and an uninterrupted view of the water. Two bedrooms sleep four, kayaks and beach gear are included, and the whole place runs on a barefoot, unplugged rhythm.

You take the whole chalet, so the patch of beach in front of it feels like yours. It is a lovely, simple, lower-cost way into the Tinggal collection — and the one our team quietly books for their own long weekends.
