Everything on sugar, cultures, subscriptions, delivery and brewing at home. Still stuck? Drop us a message.
Kombucha is fermented tea. We brew sweetened tea, add a live culture of bacteria and yeast (a SCOBY), and let it ferment slowly for at least fourteen days. The culture eats most of the sugar and creates organic acids, a little fizz and live cultures — giving you a bright, tangy, lightly sparkling drink.
Yes. Because the culture consumes most of the sugar during the long ferment, most of our bottles finish under 5g of sugar per 100ml — a fraction of a typical soft drink. The exact figure is printed on every bottle and listed on each flavour’s page.
Both, in trace amounts. Fermentation produces a very small amount of alcohol (well under 0.5% — it is sold as a soft drink), and because it is made from tea there is a little natural caffeine. Neither is enough to affect most people, but we note it for those who are sensitive.
Pick your bottles and a frequency — weekly or fortnightly — and we deliver on repeat at up to 20% off. You manage everything from your account: swap flavours, shift the delivery date, skip a round or pause completely — all self-serve, no lock-in.
It is our build-your-bundle tool. You pick the flavours you want, choose how often (one-off, weekly or fortnightly) and a pack size, and it recommends a subscription bundle with the price updating live — then drops the whole thing into your cart. Setting up a delivery that fits your week takes about a minute.
We deliver chilled, islandwide, in insulated packaging, with free delivery on orders over S$60. Because our booch is raw and alive, keeping it cold matters — pop it in the fridge as soon as it arrives and it stays at its best.
Every glass bottle carries a small refundable deposit of S$0.30. Leave your rinsed empties out on your next delivery and we collect, sterilise and reuse them, crediting the deposit back to your account. It keeps glass out of the bin and our prices fair.
Absolutely. Our Brew-Your-Own Starter Kit comes with a live SCOBY from our own mothers, mature starter liquid, our house tea blend, a 4-litre jar and an illustrated guide — your first batch is ready in about two weeks. We also sell SCOBY refills and the house tea blend on their own.
At The Tankhouse, our fermentary and tap counter at 17 Jalan Riang in Serangoon Gardens, open Wednesday to Sunday. We have twelve flavours on tap — come refill your own bottle, take a tasting flight, or join a brewing workshop.
