A comprehensive 40-minute eye test is $40, and it is waived in full when you collect any complete pair of glasses with us — so for most customers the test effectively costs nothing. Children’s myopia-control consultations are a separate, longer appointment from $90 because of the additional measurements involved. Whatever you decide, you keep your prescription and can use it anywhere.
You spend about forty minutes with a registered optometrist who measures your vision precisely, checks how your eyes work together, and screens the health of the eye itself — cornea, lens, retina and optic nerve — using digital equipment including retinal photography and eye-pressure screening. We explain every reading as we go, show you the images, and give you an honest recommendation rather than an automatic sale.
The Package Builder gives you a clear, honest total — frame tier plus lens type plus any coatings — so you know roughly what a pair will cost before you visit. The final figure is confirmed in-store once an optometrist has checked your prescription and the frame fit, since a very strong prescription or a specific lens design can affect the lens price. There are no surprise add-ons sprung on you at the counter.
Yes, and it matters to us a great deal, given how common rising myopia is among Singapore children. After a detailed assessment we talk you through the evidence-based options: overnight Ortho-K lenses, specialised myopia-control spectacle lenses, and co-managed atropine drops. We recommend what genuinely suits your child rather than the most expensive option, and review progression every few months with proper measurement.
Absolutely. We re-glaze your own frame to your latest prescription, after first checking the frame is sound enough to take new lenses safely. This is also when you choose any coatings — anti-glare, blue-light filtering, photochromic or a thinner high-index lens. Most re-glazing is a simple drop-off and collect, fitted with the same care as a brand-new pair.
Often, yes. Most progressive problems come from poor measurement, not the lens itself. We measure your exact eye position behind the frame, the corridor height and how you naturally move your eyes, then match the lens design to your daily tasks — a wider screen zone for office work, a stable distance zone for driving. Every progressive comes with an adaptation review and our re-fit assurance, so if they genuinely are not working we put it right.
We have three practices — Lensfield Bugis Junction, ION Orchard and Jewel Changi — all directly on the MRT and open seven days a week. We strongly recommend booking a slot for an eye test so you get the full forty minutes without a wait; you can reserve online, over WhatsApp or by phone. You are welcome to browse frames or collect a pair without an appointment.
Fitted, always. Contact lenses sit directly on your eye, so we measure the curvature and size of your eye, match the right material and wearing schedule, trial the lens, and teach safe handling if you are new — then set an aftercare schedule. We will recommend a dry-eye-friendly material if Singapore’s air-conditioning is the issue. We do not simply hand over a box off a shelf.
Your prescription, eye-health records and contact details are stored securely under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). They exist to care for your eyes and run your appointments — not for marketing without your say-so, and they are never shared outside the practice. Ask us any time for a copy of your own prescription and records.
