Started at a kitchen table, with one badly-wrapped present
Fondly began in 2017 when our founder Charlene Yeo spent a weekend trying to find a 30th-birthday gift that did not feel bought at the last minute. Everything was either generic or wildly overpriced, so she borrowed a friend’s engraving tool, etched a set of initials into a glass herself, and wrapped it on the kitchen table. It landed better than anything she could have ordered.
That became the whole idea: real, lasting objects with someone’s name on them, personalised properly and wrapped like they matter. We started with engraved glassware and grew, slowly, into keepsakes, curated boxes and corporate gifting — always keeping the personalisation in-house rather than farming it out, so we can stand behind every letter.
Today Fondly has engraved more than 32,000 gifts for Singapore families and companies, and the kitchen-table test still decides everything: if a piece would not feel special to unwrap, it never carries our name — or yours.
