This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar local-storage technologies (collectively "cookies") used on sgbp.tech, what each one does, who sets it, how long it lasts, and how to disable it.
Together with our Privacy Policy, this page is our PDPA Notification Obligation (§20) disclosure for tracking technologies. Under PDPA's "deemed consent by notification" pathway (§15A), you are deemed to consent to the use of these cookies by continuing to use the site after being notified, and you may opt out via the browser controls described below.
1. What cookies are set
1.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function (security, bot mitigation, load balancing). These cookies are essential and are set on every visit. They do not require consent under PDPA.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot mitigation, abuse detection | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Security challenge verification | Up to 1 year (rare) |
1.2 Analytics
Help us understand how visitors find and use the site, which sections perform well, and where users drop off. IP addresses are truncated before storage. Used under the PDPA Legitimate Interest exception (PDPA §17 First Schedule Part 3): website performance measurement is a recognised legitimate business interest.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Pseudonymous client identifier (no personal data) | 2 years |
_ga_624M0BCDKL | Google Analytics 4 | Session state for our specific GA4 property | 2 years |
_gid | Google Analytics 4 | Returning-visitor identification | 24 hours |
1.3 Advertising attribution
Used to measure the effectiveness of advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads), attribute conversions, and improve campaign targeting. Used under the PDPA "deemed consent by notification" pathway (§15A) — this Cookie Policy is the notification, and you may opt out via the browser controls described in §2.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta Pixel | Browser-level pixel ID for Facebook / Instagram attribution | 90 days |
_fbc | Meta Pixel | Click ID for Facebook / Instagram ads | 90 days |
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Conversion-linker click ID | 90 days |
_gcl_aw | Google Ads | Search-ad click ID (when applicable) | 90 days |
2. How to disable cookies
You can disable any or all of these cookies via your browser. There is no on-site cookie banner: tracking is controlled at the browser layer.
2.1 Browser controls
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Mozilla Firefox — Enhanced Tracking Protection
- Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Prevent cross-site tracking
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Brave — built-in tracker blocking is enabled by default
2.2 Provider opt-outs
- Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block via privacy extensions such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger.
- Google Ads. Visit My Ad Center and turn off Personalised ads.
- Meta Pixel. Visit Meta Ad Preferences and turn off Data about your activity from partners.
2.3 Clear existing cookies for this site
To remove any cookies already set by sgbp.tech, open your browser's site-settings panel for sgbp.tech and choose "Clear data". On Chrome you can navigate directly via chrome://settings/content/all, locate sgbp.tech, and click the bin icon.
3. Server-side data
Independent of cookies, we collect basic server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention. IPs are truncated before being stored in any retained log. Server-side data is governed by our Privacy Policy, sections 2.2 and 6.
4. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not currently treat the legacy "Do Not Track" header as a binding opt-out signal, because the DNT specification has been deprecated by the W3C. We do honour the Global Privacy Control (Sec-GPC: 1) header where present, by treating it as a request to disable advertising-attribution cookies for that session. Analytics cookies remain set under the legitimate-interest basis described in §1.2.
5. Third-party links
Pages on sgbp.tech may link to external sites (Calendly for bookings, WhatsApp for messaging, GitHub for code samples, vendor documentation). Those sites have their own cookie policies and we are not responsible for the cookies they set on their own domains.
6. Children
Our services are B2B. We do not knowingly serve cookies to individuals under 18.
7. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy. Material changes are flagged at the top of the page with a new "Last reviewed" date. If we add a new third-party tracking provider, this page will be updated before it goes live.
