1200 Hours 10 Months Course Full-time & part-time
Students training on the IESC Diploma in Beauty & Skin Therapy

Overview

The IESC Diploma in Beauty & Skin Therapy is the qualification most of our graduates build a treatment-room career on. It takes a complete beginner through anatomy and skin science to confident, safe facial and body therapy, assessed on real clients under supervision.

Who it’s for: Career-switchers and serious beginners who want a recognised qualification to work as a facial or body therapist.

Diploma in Beauty & Skin Therapy

What you will learn

This diploma is the backbone of the academy. Over roughly ten months of full-time study, or longer part-time, you move from the science a therapist must actually understand — skin structure, the systems of the body, contraindications and hygiene — into the hands-on craft of cleansing facials, masks, electrical facial treatments, body treatments and massage. We teach it the way a treatment room really runs, not as a set of slides.

Most of your hours are spent with your hands on a model under a tutor watching closely. You learn to consult honestly, read a client’s skin without over-promising, build a treatment plan, and carry it out calmly to a standard a paying salon will accept. Classes are kept small so you are corrected in the moment rather than lost in a crowded demo theatre.

You graduate with an internationally-benchmarked diploma, a logged record of supervised client work, and a clear-eyed sense of where regulated, clinical aesthetics begins and a therapist’s scope ends. We are plain about that line throughout: this diploma qualifies you for spa and salon therapy work, and we set out which further licensing medical procedures would require.
