For our foundation and career-track courses, none at all — we start from skin prep and how to hold a brush. Our advanced modules (bridal, brow lamination, the business module) assume you already work in beauty or have completed a foundation course; the course pages say which is which, and the Career Finder will steer you to the right level.
Almost everything runs part-time, on evenings and weekends, so you can train without leaving your current job. A typical course is one or two sessions a week over six to twelve weeks. We list the exact schedule on each course page and confirm the next intake when you enquire.
Our certificates are recognised by the local studios and salons we place graduates into, and they demonstrate completed, supervised, hands-on training. We are honest that no short course replaces a portfolio and a good attitude — the certificate opens the door, your work gets you hired. For regulated clinical aesthetics, expect a straight answer on the further licensing that would be required.
We cap classes at twelve students, and most run smaller. Training in a studio rather than watching tutorials only makes sense if a tutor can watch your hands and correct you while you practise on real models — so we keep numbers low to make that possible, every session.
Tuition, the use of studio kit and products during class, your live-model practice sessions, and your certificate on completion. For most courses you will gradually build your own kit; we give you a road-tested kit list and honest guidance on what is worth buying rather than pushing a fixed bundle.
Yes. A small deposit reserves your seat in the next intake, and we can split the balance into instalments over the course via PayNow or Atome. Just ask when you enquire and we will set out the options in plain numbers — and an itemised invoice for your records.
We are a school, not an agency, so we will not promise you a job. What we do is train you to a real standard, finish you with a portfolio, give you honest career talk about where the paying work is, and introduce graduates to the studios and salons we work with. Many of our makeup and lash graduates are taking paying clients within weeks.
Our main teaching studio is on Arab Street near Bugis MRT, with a second skincare-and-aesthetics studio at Novena Specialist Centre near Novena MRT. Both are a short walk from their station; once you enrol we confirm exactly which studio runs your course.
Completely. Our Personal Makeup Foundation exists precisely for people who want to do their own makeup well, with no career pressure. You will get the same patient, hands-on teaching as our career students — just a shorter, more relaxed course.
