Rainbow Engineer Block Set (120 pc)
120 beech-wood pieces · age 3+ · price shown is for a single set
A chunky 120-piece beech block set that turns a coffee table into a building site for towers, bridges and wobbly experiments.
Why we stock it
Wooden blocks are the toy early-childhood educators reach for first, and this set is our most-played for good reason. The 120 sanded beech pieces come in arches, cylinders, planks and half-moons, so a three-year-old can stack a simple tower while a six-year-old builds a counter-weighted bridge that actually holds a toy car. There is no screen, no battery and nothing to "win" — just an open invitation to try, topple and try again.
We chose beech over cheaper rubberwood because it takes a knock without splintering and keeps its colour through years of HDB-floor play. Every batch is SGS-tested for the EN71 and ASTM safety standards, the water-based stains are non-toxic, and the edges are rounded enough for toddler hands but crisp enough to balance cleanly. The pieces share a single base module, so they nest and rebuild predictably — which is exactly what helps a child internalise early maths ideas like halves, doubles and symmetry.
It is a quiet powerhouse for STEM and motor skills: pinching small arches builds grip for pencil-holding later, and planning a structure that will not fall teaches patience and cause-and-effect. Tip it into a shallow tray for a calm solo session, or split it between two children for a "tallest tower" challenge. Pairs naturally with our Magnetic Discovery Tiles for ramps, and stores flat in the cotton drawstring bag included.
