Stargazer Geodesic Dome
A climate-cooled geodesic dome with a clear panel over the bed, so you fall asleep watching the sky and wake to the canopy.
The Stargazer Dome is our quietest splurge. It is a proper geodesic dome — insulated, climate-cooled and sealed against insects — with a clear transparent panel set into the roof directly over the bed. On a clear night you switch off the lights and the sky does the rest. It is the stay couples book for an anniversary and then sheepishly re-book three months later.
Because it is enclosed and cooled, the dome stays comfortable through a hot afternoon and a humid night, which a canvas tent simply cannot do. The bed faces the panel, there is a small lounge nook, and the bathroom is a private ensuite — no walking to a block at 2am. We dim the path lights around the domes after ten so the stargazing actually works.
It is for stillness, not for a crowd. If you are coming to switch off properly — read, sleep deeply, watch the sky, talk without a screen between you — the dome earns every dollar. We only run a handful of them so the corner of the camp they sit in stays hushed.
Best for
Couples, anniversaries and anyone who wants the night sky from bed. Best on clear nights; check the lunar calendar for darker skies.
