The Punggol Family Condo
A family of four with two small children had a brand-new Punggol condo that felt like a showflat — beautiful, but cold and a little anxious to live in. They wanted a home that could take sticky fingers and Lego underfoot while still feeling considered. We styled all three bedrooms and the living-dining as one warm, washable scheme.
The brief
Turn a pristine new condo into a real family home: warm, soft, child-friendly and easy to keep tidy, with a palette that grows with the kids rather than screaming nursery. Practical fabrics, rounded edges, and storage that earns its place.
What we did
Family styling is really about resilience, so we chose performance linens, a washable rug and a palette of blush, butter and sage that hides the day-to-day of toddler life. The living room got a deep, soft sofa the children could climb on, a round coffee table with no sharp corners, and a low open shelf where toys live in pretty baskets rather than a plastic mountain.
In the bedrooms we kept things gentle — a reading nook by the window, a gallery wall of the children’s own art in matching frames, and bedding layered for the over-cool Singapore aircon. Everything has a home, so a five-minute reset returns the flat to calm. The parents told us it’s the first time the place has felt like theirs and not the developer’s.
