A condominium’s underused pool deck, replanted into a soft, durable garden the residents’ committee is proud of again.
The existing planting had been chosen for the brochure, not for daily life — beautiful for a season, then thin and tired. We replaced it with a resilient scheme built to take sun, chlorine splash and the foot traffic of a busy weekend without looking battered by Tuesday.
Rounded planter edges and a generous shaded zone near the loungers make the deck genuinely family-friendly, and every species was checked to be safe around children and pets. Maintenance was designed in from the start, with a clear care brief handed to the managing agent.
It is the kind of project we love — not a showpiece, but a shared space that quietly works for hundreds of people every week and asks very little in return.
