Why we started Anvil
After a decade cutting hair, our founder Daryl kept hitting the same wall: the pomades that held best overseas turned greasy in our humidity, the imported beard oils sat heavy on the skin, and half the “men’s” range was the same product in a black bottle at twice the price.
So we built the range we actually wanted to recommend — water-based holds that survive the commute, sulphate-free beard washes, a forgiving safety razor, and skincare made for skin that sweats all year. Everything is formulated and tested here, on people who live in this weather.
We keep the range deliberately small. Eleven products, each one we use ourselves, each one earning its place on the shelf. No filler, no thirty near-identical pomades to wade through — just the gear that does the job.
