Frequently asked questions

Everything Singapore movers ask us about quotes, the fixed price, wrapping, storage, special items and how booking works.

We start with a free survey — on-site or by video call — to see exactly what’s moving, the access at both ends, and any special items. From that we send a fixed written quote. Barring changes you ask for on the day, that price holds; we don’t add “manpower”, “staircase” or “bulky item” fees at the end. The whole point of Anchor is that the number you agree is the number you pay.
For weekends, month-ends and the busy period around key-collection dates, two to three weeks ahead is wise, as those slots fill first. Mid-week and mid-month moves can often be arranged on shorter notice, sometimes within a few days. Book the survey early even if your date isn’t fixed — we can hold a tentative slot and firm it up later.
Yes — wrapping and protection is standard, not an upsell. Sofas, mattresses, tables and fragile items are wrapped before they leave, and our crews are trained to carry and place rather than drag. We also carry transit insurance, so in the rare event something is damaged, there’s a clear, fair process to put it right — not a shrug at the door.
That’s exactly how we plan commercial moves. Most happen after hours or over a weekend so your team logs off at the old address and on at the new one without losing a working day. We label and map every workstation, handle IT and servers carefully, and a single coordinator runs the whole move. You get a written plan and a fixed quote after the site survey.
Yes. Our secured, CCTV-monitored yard stores your belongings by the month with no long lock-in, which is perfect for a renovation overrun or a gap between move-out and move-in. We move your things in, log a clear inventory, and move them back out to your new home when you’re ready. You can request access in between if you need something.
Yes, with the right equipment and crew. Pianos, heavy safes, large aquariums, gym equipment and oversized artwork need specialist handling, and we plan for them specifically rather than improvising on the day. Flag any special items at the survey so we bring the right gear and price it properly up front.
We do, and it’s easiest bundled with your move — the old cleared as the new arrives, in a single visit. Old furniture and appliances are cleared, e-waste is routed to licensed recyclers rather than the nearest bin, and usable items can be sent for donation where possible. It can also be booked on its own as a clear-out.
Your contact details, addresses and any inventory we hold are kept private and used only to plan and carry out your move, handled to the standard Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) sets. We never sell your information or share it beyond the people running your move, and storage inventories are kept confidential to you.
