Singapore has one of the highest rates of childhood myopia in the world, and a prescription that jumps every year is not something to simply re-glass and ignore. Our myopia-control programme is built to actually slow that progression, not just keep up with it.
After a detailed assessment we talk you through the evidence-based options — overnight Ortho-K lenses that gently reshape the cornea, specialised myopia-control spectacle lenses, or co-managed atropine drops — and recommend what genuinely fits your child’s eyes, lifestyle and your comfort level. There is no one-size answer, and we will say so.
The programme is reviewed every few months with careful measurement of axial length and prescription, so you can see whether it is working. The goal is simple: a child who grows up with the lowest prescription we can responsibly achieve, and the lowest long-term risk to their eyes.
