What these lessons are like
Guitar is the instrument most people picture themselves holding — around a barbecue, accompanying a song, or working through a lovely classical study. We teach both sides of it. Someone on the song-led path is playing real tunes quickly, with chords, strumming and rhythm; a classical student reads music and builds the right-hand technique the repertoire calls for.
Either way, the early weeks are about getting comfortable: holding the guitar, fretting cleanly so the chords ring, and changing between them without the music grinding to a halt. We pick songs the student genuinely likes early on, because nothing keeps a beginner practising like being able to play something they love.
Teenagers and adults make up most of our guitar students, and many start purely for fun and later decide to take a grade. We are happy either way — whether the goal is a campfire singalong or a Trinity classical-guitar certificate, the lessons are built around where you actually want to end up.
