What does a Shortlist SG review site actually do for my Singapore publishing business?
It gets your “best of” review brand publishing in about a week from S$500 — with the structure that actually ranks and converts. You get an editorial homepage with category roundup grids, deep comparison guides, the signature Verdict Finder that turns undecided readers into qualified outbound clicks, a “how we test” trust page, and PDPA-aware newsletter capture — all yours to own, with running costs from S$15/mo. Affiliate income is never guaranteed.
A review and comparison site lives or dies on two things: whether Google trusts your “best of” guides, and whether readers click your outbound links. Most people who try to launch one stall on a generic blog theme that has neither the structure search engines reward nor the comparison tooling that converts. Shortlist SG gives you a proven, monetisation-ready review publication — customised to your niche — live in 7–14 days from S$500, so you start building search authority instead of wrestling layouts.
Every element you can click in the live demo has a job. The category-grouped roundup grids and the deep guide template — table of contents, comparison table, ranked picks with pros/cons and outbound “check price” buttons — are built the way buying guides actually rank and earn. The signature Verdict Finder turns a hesitant reader into a qualified outbound click by recommending a top pick and a runner-up from the matching guide. The “how we test” page and author bylines build the editorial trust (and E-E-A-T) that both readers and search engines look for.
And it is an asset you own and grow, not a rental. You keep 100% of the code and a self-editable CMS, so you publish guides, edit comparison tables and add categories yourself without paying a developer per post. After launch you only pay what you choose — managed hosting from S$15/mo and optional care from S$150/mo. Start lean at S$500, then add a comparison-table builder, an affiliate-link manager, an SEO pack or more category hubs as traffic grows, up to around S$2,000. We are honest about one thing: we build the platform and the structure, but affiliate income always depends on your niche, traffic and effort, and is never guaranteed.
- Publish in 7–14 days from S$500 — a properly structured review publication, not a generic blog theme.
- The Verdict Finder turns undecided readers into qualified outbound clicks with a matched top pick + runner-up.
- Guides are built to rank and convert: TOC, comparison tables, ranked picks, pros/cons and “check price” buttons.
- Editorial trust baked in: a “how we test” page, author bylines and a clear affiliate disclosure.
- You own 100% of the code plus a self-editable CMS — publish and grow it yourself, no agency lock-in.
- Predictable running costs: managed hosting from S$15/mo and optional care from S$150/mo — affiliate income is never guaranteed.

What problems does a done-for-you Shortlist SG site fix that DIY and freelancers don’t?
It removes what stalls most review-site publishers: a generic blog look that loses reader and Google trust, no comparison-guide structure, nothing interactive to convert undecided readers, sites you can’t publish to, agency lock-in, missing SEO and surprise costs. You get a complete, structured, monetisation-ready review publication — with comparison tables, the Verdict Finder, a “how we test” page and a clear affiliate disclosure — that you own outright, live in 7–14 days from S$500.
Most aspiring review publishers hit the same walls. A free blog theme looks like a hobby, which hurts both reader trust and the E-E-A-T signals Google weighs for “best of” queries. A cheap freelancer can vanish mid-build or hand over something you cannot publish to. A full agency may quote five figures and tie you to their stack. And DIY swallows weeks before a single guide ranks. Shortlist SG is designed to remove each of those frustrations rather than trade one for another.
Structure and credibility come first. Instead of a plain article template, your guides ship with the anatomy that actually ranks and converts — a table of contents, a comparison table, ranked picks with pros/cons and our-verdict blocks, and outbound “check price” buttons. The “how we test” methodology page, author bylines and a transparent affiliate disclosure make a new publication look trustworthy from day one, which matters when readers decide whether to click your links and when Google decides whether to rank you.
Conversion is the part DIY and most freelancers skip. The signature Verdict Finder recommends a matched pick to undecided readers, the comparison tables let them weigh options at a glance, and the newsletter capture builds an audience you own rather than rent from an algorithm. We are upfront that the tooling enables income but never guarantees it — that always depends on your niche, traffic and effort.
Ownership and cost close it out: you own 100% of the code and publish through a self-editable CMS, so you are never tied to a retainer. On-page SEO, GA4 and clean markup are standard. And pricing is a transparent customiser from S$500 to S$2,000 with 3 revision rounds included — no vague “it depends” invoices.
- Looks like a hobby blog → A polished indigo/blue editorial design, author bylines and a “how we test” page make a new review site credible to readers and Google.
- No comparison structure → Every guide ships with a TOC, a comparison table, ranked picks, pros/cons and outbound “check price” buttons.
- Nothing converts the undecided → The signature Verdict Finder matches readers to a top pick and a runner-up, with an outbound CTA.
- Can’t publish it yourself → A self-editable CMS plus a plain-English manual let you add guides and edit tables without paying anyone.
- Locked into an agency → You own 100% of the code; hosting (from S$15/mo) and care (from S$150/mo) are optional.
- No SEO foundation → On-page SEO, Article/Review schema and clean markup are standard, with an advanced SEO/AEO pack available.
- Surprise costs → A transparent customiser shows your price from S$500 to S$2,000 up front, 3 revisions included.

SGBP vs a Singapore agency, freelancer or DIY — which is right for your review site?
For a Singapore review/comparison site, SGBP customises the live Shortlist SG site — comparison guides, the Verdict Finder, category hubs and a “how we test” page — in 7–14 days from S$500 to S$2,000, and you own 100% of the code with no lock-in. Singapore agencies typically quote far more over several weeks; freelancers vary widely; a DIY blog is cheapest but rarely has the structure that ranks or the tooling that converts.
Most Singapore agencies do solid work, but a custom editorial site is often a five-figure scope spread over weeks of discovery and revisions — and many keep you on their platform and a retainer. You can end up paying for process you don’t need when there’s already a proven, comparison-ready review site to customise.
A freelancer can be cheaper and faster, but quality, code ownership and follow-up swing widely — and review-specific touches like reader-sortable comparison tables, ranked-pick templates, outbound affiliate buttons with the right rel attributes and an interactive recommender are rarely built in. A DIY blog theme is the lowest cash outlay, but it usually has neither the guide structure search engines reward nor any conversion layer at all.
SGBP sits in between on purpose: you start from the live Shortlist SG demo, so you can see and click exactly what you’re buying, then we customise it to your niche, brand and affiliate networks. Every build ships with on-page SEO (with an SEO/AEO upgrade option), SSL, GA4, a self-editable CMS, a PDPA-aware affiliate-disclosure framework and a handover manual — the things that often become paid “add-ons” elsewhere. What no honest provider can promise is the income itself; we build the platform, you build the audience.
- Time and cost: 7–14 days, from S$500 to S$2,000 one-time, versus the weeks and far higher fees a custom agency build typically involves.
- Ownership: you keep 100% of the code and a CMS you can publish to yourself — no lock-in.
- See before you buy: the live Shortlist SG demo is the actual product, Verdict Finder and comparison guides and all.
- Built to rank and convert: comparison tables, the Verdict Finder, ranked-pick templates and affiliate buttons are part of the build, not quoted extra.
- Singapore-ready: SGD pricing, local context, PDPA-aware data handling and a clear affiliate disclosure throughout.
- Optional, not obligatory: managed hosting from S$15/mo and a Care plan from S$150/mo if you want it hands-off. Income is never guaranteed.

What is under the hood of your Shortlist SG review site?
Under the hood is static-first Astro, exactly what this demo runs on, or a hardened WordPress or Webflow build, served over a global CDN with modern compression and caching. It is fast, WCAG 2.2 AA accessible, SSL-secured and PDPA-aware, with Article/Review schema for editorial content — and yours to deploy anywhere.
The native build, exactly what this demo runs on, is static-first Astro with a headless CMS and minimal JavaScript — ideal for a content site that lives on organic search, because guide pages are pre-rendered and load almost instantly. Prefer a familiar CMS? We build a hardened WordPress (+S$250) or Webflow (+S$200) site instead. Whichever you choose, it’s served over a global CDN with modern compression and caching, so a viral guide or a 11.11 traffic spike won’t take the site down.
We tune for Core Web Vitals: featured and pick images are lazy-loaded in modern formats (WebP/AVIF) with set dimensions to avoid layout shift, so even a long guide with a comparison table and a dozen ranked picks stays snappy on the phones most readers use. The interactive Verdict Finder runs efficiently client-side, so its recommendation appears instantly as the reader taps — no page reload.
SSL/HTTPS and security headers are enforced, data handling is PDPA-aware, and outbound affiliate links are output with rel="sponsored nofollow" and your tracking IDs through the link manager. Article, Review, FAQ and Organization schema are baked in so your guides are eligible for rich results and readable by AI engines. You own 100% of the source code, with no lock-in, so you can host with us from S$15/mo or deploy anywhere yourself.

Will my Shortlist SG site rank on Google and get quoted by ChatGPT?
Every build is delivered search-ready: clean semantic HTML, a JSON-LD schema graph (Article, Review, FAQ, Breadcrumb, Organization), fast Core Web Vitals, XML sitemaps and Search Console. Answer-first guides and Singapore signals — SGD pricing, local context, natural local language — give Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and voice assistants what they need to find and quote your “best of” guides. No rankings or affiliate earnings are guaranteed.
Review sites live entirely on visibility, so we build the technical foundation properly. Your Shortlist SG site ships with clean semantic HTML5, correct heading order, descriptive alt text on every pick image, canonical tags and a tidy URL structure like /tech-home and /tech-home/best-air-purifiers-singapore — the foundation search engines and AI crawlers reward. Rankings always depend on your niche, content quality and competition, but the groundwork is done right from day one.
Here’s the jargon in plain terms. SEO helps you rank on Google for searches like “best air purifier Singapore” or “best fibre broadband Singapore”. AEO and AIO help your guides get surfaced and quoted by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews when someone asks “what’s the best travel insurance in Singapore?”. GEO makes sure those answers know you cover Singapore specifically. Voice covers Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa — short, spoken-friendly answers they can read aloud.
The engine is a JSON-LD schema graph baked into every page: Article and Review markup (author, date, rating, pros/cons) so your roundups and comparisons become eligible for rich results and review snippets; FAQPage so your guide FAQs can be lifted into AI replies; BreadcrumbList so paths like Tech & Home → Best air purifiers are machine-readable; and Organization so your publication and Singapore focus are unambiguous. The advanced SEO/AEO pack adds speakable markup, Bing and Search Console setup and an answer-engine optimisation pass — an optional upgrade on the S$500 base build. To be clear: ranking and the affiliate income that can follow are never guaranteed.
- Clean semantic markup: HTML5 structure, logical headings, descriptive alt text and canonical tags.
- Full JSON-LD schema graph: Article, Review, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList and Organization — your roundups, comparisons and FAQs become eligible for rich results and readable by AI engines.
- Guides target high-intent local long-tail: “best air purifier Singapore”, “best travel insurance Singapore” and AI-Overview-style questions.
- Fast Core Web Vitals: image-optimised, mobile-first pages — a Google ranking factor that also keeps readers from bouncing.
- Answer-first content: guide intros and FAQs written question-led and concise, so AI engines can quote them cleanly.
- Sitemaps & Search Console: XML and image sitemaps plus robots.txt submitted to Google (and Bing).
- Singapore signals: SGD pricing, local context (HDB, haze season, local plans) and natural local language throughout.
- You own 100% of the code with a self-editable CMS — publish a guide and its SEO fields and schema update automatically; rankings and earnings are never guaranteed.

What does each page of my Shortlist SG review site actually look like?
You get a full review publication, not a single template: an editorial homepage with category roundup grids, category hubs, deep roundup/comparison guides (TOC, comparison table, ranked picks, pros/cons, outbound “check price” buttons), a dedicated Verdict Finder page, a “how we test” methodology page, an about page, a newsletter page and a contact page — rebuilt with your niche, brand and networks.
We start from the live Shortlist SG demo and rebuild every page around your niche, brand and tone. Nothing stays as filler: your guides, categories, picks, comparison rows, author bylines and outbound links replace the demo content, and each page keeps the features that make the demo rank and convert — the comparison tables, the Verdict Finder and the ranked-pick templates — wired to your networks.
Every page is delivered mobile-first with clean SEO markup, a self-editable CMS and a PDPA-aware affiliate-disclosure framework, so you can publish a new guide, edit a comparison table or update your methodology long after handover. The pages below are what’s included in the base S$500 build; more category hubs, the comparison-table builder, advanced SEO and the affiliate tools are where the customiser adds cost, up to S$2,000.
Singapore signals are built in where they help readers trust and click: guides show SGD pricing and local context, the affiliate disclosure follows PDPA-aware, transparent practice, and editorial trust blocks like “how we test” and author bylines support both reader trust and E-E-A-T. You own 100% of the code, and it’s typically delivered in 7–14 days.
- Homepage — an editorial hero with search and popular category chips, a featured-guide spotlight, category-grouped roundup-article grids, a “how we test” trust strip, a Verdict Finder teaser, a stats band, reader testimonials and newsletter capture — all rebranded to you.
- Category hub — one page per category (Tech & Home, Money & Insurance, Internet & Mobile, Family, Lifestyle, or yours) with a banner, topic pills, the full guide grid and a “browse other categories” cross-link.
- Roundup / comparison guide — the heart of the site: breadcrumb, title, intro, “updated on” + share, featured image, a table of contents, a “how we chose” buying-criteria section, a top-picks summary trio, a comparison table, the ranked picks (rank badge, image, price, pros/cons, our-verdict and outbound “check price” buttons), an FAQ and a closing verdict with an author bio.
- Verdict Finder — a dedicated page hosting the signature tool plus an explainer of how the recommendation works.
- How we test — a numbered methodology and editorial trust promises that build reader trust and E-E-A-T.
- About — your publication’s story, stats and editorial team.
- Newsletter — a PDPA-aware lead-capture page to build an owned audience.
- Contact — a PDPA-aware enquiry form for suggestions, corrections and brand partnerships, plus your direct channels.
- FAQ — an accordion of common questions, ready for FAQ schema.
- Footer & navigation — a dark editorial footer with top-guides, categories and trust columns, plus a search-bar header with a plain category nav.

Can the Shortlist SG site scale from a few guides to a multi-category review network?
Yes. Your site starts lean with up to 6 guides and a couple of category hubs, and scales to a 20+ guide, multi-category review network with topic-cluster architecture, faceted browse and multi-author publishing. Add more comparison tables, affiliate networks and email automation as traffic grows. Because you own 100% of the code, there’s no per-page lock-in — though traffic and income are never guaranteed.
Most review sites launch focused to prove a niche, then broaden once a few guides start ranking. Shortlist SG is built for that curve. Day one you might run six guides across two category hubs. As topics prove out, the customiser lets you step up to 12, 20 or a 20+ guide network with pillar-page and topic-cluster architecture, so adding a vertical is a content exercise rather than a rebuild. The category hubs, topic pills and related-guide logic you saw in the demo keep a large library easy to browse on any phone.
Growth isn’t only more guides, it’s more traffic and more conversion. The native Astro build shown in the demo is delivered as a fast, static, mobile-first site served over a global CDN, so a viral guide, a newsletter blast or a 9.9 / 11.11 buying surge is far less likely to slow it down. (Choose WordPress or Webflow instead and you get a hardened, CDN-served build on that stack.) On the conversion side, you can wire more guides into the Verdict Finder, expand your comparison tables, add more affiliate networks to the link manager and switch on newsletter automation — though, to stay honest, none of this guarantees income.
The real future-proofing is ownership: you hold 100% of the code with a self-editable CMS, delivered with a handover manual in 7–14 days. You’re never trapped by a locked theme, a per-post fee or an affiliate plugin you can’t change — when the publication outgrows today’s setup, the same codebase extends instead of forcing a restart.
- Guides scale from 6 to 20+; larger sites use pillar-page and topic-cluster architecture for SEO
- Category hubs, topic pills and related-guide logic keep big libraries fast and browsable on mobile
- The Verdict Finder and comparison tables extend to every new guide you publish
- The native Astro build is static and CDN-served, so it stays fast through viral guides or 11.11 surges; WordPress / Webflow builds are hardened and CDN-served too
- Add conversion as you grow: more affiliate networks in the link manager and newsletter automation — though income is never guaranteed
- Multi-author publishing workflow and an editorial calendar for when you bring on writers
- You own 100% of the code, so there’s no forced re-platform and no per-page lock-in as you scale

Can I run my Shortlist SG site myself without a developer?
Yes. Your site is delivered with a self-editable CMS, so you publish guides, edit comparison tables, manage ranked picks and outbound links, tune the Verdict Finder and check your GA4 numbers without touching code. Every task is documented in a plain-English handover manual, and you own 100% of the build. Most non-technical publishers get the hang of it quickly.
Running a review site is mostly steady, repeatable updates: a new “best of” guide, a fresh comparison table, a price that changed after 11.11, an outbound link that moved. We build all of this into a clean CMS dashboard, so you log in, write or edit the thing you came to change and hit publish. No staging files, no FTP, no “please email the developer” — your guides and tables go live with the right schema and SEO fields filled in.
Each module from the live demo has a matching settings panel. Your guides and ranked picks, the comparison-table rows, the outbound affiliate links and tracking IDs, the Verdict Finder’s routing tags, your newsletter capture and the affiliate-disclosure wording are all configurable from labelled fields, not buried in code. The disclosure and PDPA-aware consent settings stay wired in so every monetised page stays compliant as you grow.
Your site is delivered in 7–14 days with on-page SEO, SSL, GA4 and a PDPA-aware setup. If you ever get stuck, the step-by-step handover manual walks through every task, and your 3 included revision rounds (plus an optional Care plan from S$150/mo) mean help is on hand. But the day-to-day publishing is genuinely designed for a non-technical publisher to run solo — what you put in, in guides and promotion, is what drives the still-never-guaranteed income.
- Publish a guide — write a roundup or comparison in the editor, add the featured image, TOC, picks and FAQs, set the category and SEO fields, then publish; it appears in the homepage grid, category hub and Verdict Finder automatically.
- Edit a comparison table — change the spec rows, prices and scores; the reader-sortable table and its review schema update across the site.
- Manage ranked picks — set the rank, award, pros/cons, our-verdict and outbound “check price” links per pick.
- Manage affiliate links — add or update outbound links and tracking IDs; rel="sponsored nofollow" is applied for you.
- Tune the Verdict Finder — set which guides and picks it draws on and their routing tags.
- Edit a page or hero — update the homepage hero, about, how-we-test and disclosure copy without code.
- Grow your list — connect newsletter capture to your email provider and edit the forms.
- Check your GA4 numbers — see visitors, top guides, outbound affiliate clicks and Verdict Finder usage.

Review & comparison website — frequently asked questions
Quick answers on cost, what’s included, timelines, ownership, platforms, the Verdict Finder, comparison tables, affiliate links, SEO/AEO, PDPA and revisions for a done-for-you review & comparison website in Singapore.
How much does a review & comparison website cost in Singapore?
A done-for-you review/comparison website in Singapore costs between S$500 and S$2,000 with SGBP. The S$500 base covers a complete, mobile-ready review site with category hubs, starter roundup/comparison guides and the Verdict Finder built in; the price rises only as you add more guides, monetisation tools, copywriting or branding. You see the exact figure live in the customiser before you pay.
What exactly do I get for the price?
You get a fully designed and developed site built from the live Shortlist SG demo, your category hubs and starter guides set up, the Verdict Finder tool, comparison tables, a “how we test” page, a self-editable CMS, full source-code ownership, on-page SEO with Article/Review schema, SSL, GA4, a PDPA-aware affiliate-disclosure framework, 3 revision rounds and a step-by-step handover manual. Everything you select in the customiser is itemised in your order summary.
How long does it take to build and launch?
Most review sites are designed, built and launched in 7 to 14 days from payment. More category hubs, extensive copywriting or a full monetisation stack can sit at the upper end of that range. We send a private preview link first, you use your revisions, then we launch on your domain.
Do I own the website and can I publish to it myself?
Yes. You own 100% of the code and the site outright — there is no licence trap and no agency lock-in. Every build is delivered with a self-editable CMS so you can publish guides, edit comparison tables, manage outbound links and edit pages yourself, with a plain-English manual to guide you.
What is the Verdict Finder and how does it help?
It is the signature interactive tool: a reader picks a category, their main need, a budget band and what they care about most, and it recommends a top pick and a runner-up from the matching guide, each with a one-line reason and a link to read the full review (plus an outbound affiliate CTA). It turns an undecided reader into a qualified click, and you control which guides and picks it draws on from the CMS.
Do the comparison tables really work, or are they images?
They are live, CMS-managed tables, not pictures. Each guide has a comparison table of picks against the specs that matter, and with the table add-on readers can sort and re-rank by price, score or features. You edit the rows in the CMS and the review schema updates with them.
Which platform should I choose — Astro, WordPress or Webflow?
The native Astro build shown in the demo is the fastest and cheapest to run and the best for SEO, which matters most for a content site that lives on organic search. Choose WordPress if your team wants the familiar publisher editor and plugin ecosystem, or Webflow for a visual in-browser editor. The customiser shows the exact price difference for each.
How do the affiliate / “check price” links work?
Each ranked pick can carry outbound “check price” buttons to your chosen merchants. With the affiliate-link manager add-on, links are centrally managed with your tracking IDs and output with rel="sponsored nofollow" automatically. You sign up for the affiliate networks yourself; we wire the site to use them.
How can the site make money, and is income guaranteed?
You can earn mainly through affiliate commissions when readers buy or sign up through your outbound links, plus clearly-labelled sponsored features kept out of your ranked lists. We build all the tooling for this, but to be completely honest, affiliate income is never guaranteed — it always depends on your niche, traffic, content quality and effort. We provide the platform, not a promise of earnings.
Will the site rank on Google and show up in AI search?
Every build is delivered with an SEO foundation — clean markup, fast Core Web Vitals, sitemaps and Article/Review structured data, well suited to “best of” buying-guide searches. The Advanced SEO/AEO pack adds a full schema graph, answer-engine optimisation and Search Console setup so you can be found on Google and quoted by AI assistants like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. Rankings are never guaranteed.
How is reader data handled under PDPA?
Your site handles reader information under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and ships with SSL/HTTPS by default. Newsletter sign-ups capture explicit consent, contact-form details are stored securely and never passed on, and the forms carry PDPA consent wording. A transparent affiliate disclosure is wired across every monetised page.
What are revisions and how many are included?
A revision is a round of changes you request after seeing your preview — copy tweaks, layout changes, colour adjustments, guide edits, comparison-table changes and the like. Three rounds are included free. If you want more breathing room you can add extra rounds at S$200 each in the customiser.
Do I need hosting and maintenance?
No — you can host the site yourself since the code is yours. If you would rather not, add Managed or Pro Hosting and a Care plan in the customiser (billed monthly or annually). Care covers updates, backups, security and small content changes so you can focus on publishing and promotion.
