Liquid Gold is for the part of the night when the lights come down and the music comes up. These gowns are hand-beaded — sequins, bugle beads and the occasional crystal — placed close at the bodice and scattered out toward the hem so the shine has somewhere to travel as you move. They are heavier than our other lines, and that weight is the point: they hold a sculptural silhouette under a ballroom chandelier.
We design most of this collection as mermaid and fit-and-flare cuts, because beadwork wants a shape to sit against. Many of our brides rent one of these as a reception or march-in gown after a softer ceremony dress — a deliberate change of register for the dinner. Séraphine and Vienna both glitter, but at different volumes. Séraphine is full glass beadwork and a true mermaid line — maximal, sculptural, the gown you commit to. Vienna’s matte sequins read softer in photos and move more easily on a dance floor. We bring both out together so brides can feel the difference between dazzle and shimmer in the mirror.
