Sooner is almost always better. Puppies learn fastest in their first few months, so Puppy School is ideal from the moment a vaccinated, settled puppy comes home. That said, the “you can’t teach an old dog” line is a myth — adolescent and adult dogs train very well with the right plan. If there’s a behaviour issue like barking or reactivity, don’t wait for it to “grow out of it”; the earlier we assess, the easier it usually is.
We train with positive reinforcement and modern learning science, full stop. That means rewarding the behaviour we want and managing the environment so unwanted habits don’t get to rehearse — no choke chains, prong collars, shock collars or “be the alpha” theatrics. Kind methods aren’t just gentler; for most dogs they’re also faster and far more reliable, because the dog is learning because it wants to, not because it’s afraid.
Often, yes, but we treat it seriously and safely. Aggression is usually rooted in fear or frustration, so we always begin with a full assessment to understand the triggers and the risk, and we may coordinate with your vet to rule out pain or a medical cause. We’ll be honest with you about what’s realistic, set a clear safety and management plan, and never use intimidation. For genuine bite histories, the work is careful and paced — welfare and safety come before speed.
Yes. Our trainers are accredited under the NParks Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) Accreditation of Dog Trainers (ACDT) framework — the standard Singapore’s authorities recognise, including for compulsory training tied to certain breeds and to HDB approval. Accreditation isn’t just a badge; it reflects assessed competence in humane, effective methods, which is exactly what your dog deserves.
It depends on the dog, the goal and how much you practise between sessions — there’s no honest one-number answer. As a guide, Puppy School and recall work usually start at 4 sessions, everyday obedience around 5, and behaviour cases from 6, often more. We’ll give you a realistic estimate after the assessment, review progress as we go, and never string out a package for the sake of it. Try the Training Plan Builder on our site for an indicative plan and price.
Group classes run at the park with up to six dogs — sociable, structured and the best value, ideal for puppies and general manners. 1-on-1 in-home sessions are tailored entirely to your dog and home, and are the right call for behaviour work, very young puppies, or busy schedules. Board & train is an intensive live-in block with a trainer for a faster jump-start, always finished with handover sessions so you can keep the results going.
Yes. We work across HDB flats, condos and landed properties island-wide, and we’re very familiar with the manners that keep neighbours and committees happy — calm in the lift, quiet at home, polite at the void deck. For owners who need training tied to HDB approval or breed-specific requirements, our AVS-accredited trainers can guide you through what’s expected and prepare your dog for it.
In-home sessions and behaviour work happen at your place and the spots where the behaviour shows up — your corridor, your lift lobby, your usual walk. Group classes run at green spaces like Bishan-AMK Park and Pasir Ris Park, and we use our small Kembangan studio for assessments and indoor sessions when the weather or the dog calls for it. We come to you for most of it.
Start with a free assessment or a WhatsApp message — no payment upfront. Once we’ve agreed a plan, programmes are booked as a block and paid by PayNow or bank transfer, with a simple receipt. There’s no online cart and nothing is charged before we’ve actually spoken and you’re happy with the plan. We look after your details under Singapore’s PDPA, using them only to arrange your training.
