From the radio booth to the ballroom
I fell into hosting the way a lot of emcees do — a friend needed someone for their wedding, the room laughed in the right places, and I realised I'd rather be holding a mic on a Saturday than doing almost anything else. That was 2016. I was working in radio at the time, which taught me the discipline that matters most on stage: how to fill a silence without panicking, how to land a name, and how to read a room you can't fully see.
Within a year the weekends had taken over, so I went full-time. Since then I've hosted more than 450 weddings, corporate dinners, launches and roadshows across Singapore — from Marina Bay ballrooms to mall atriums in the heartlands — in English, Malay and conversational Mandarin. I still write every run-sheet myself, and I still turn up over-prepared on principle, because the calm you feel on the day is built entirely in the week before.
My job isn't to be the loudest person in the room. It's to make your guests feel looked after, keep your programme on time when things slip, and hand the spotlight back to you, your team or your brand at exactly the right second. The nicest thing anyone says to me is that the night just flowed. That's the whole job.
How I work
I host to your run-sheet
Every event gets its own script and timeline study — I host around your march-ins, awards and speeches, not a generic routine I reuse every weekend.
Properly bilingual
Full segments in English and Malay or Mandarin, paced so both sides of the room feel included — not a token translated line tacked on at the end.
A genuine read of the room
A quiet solemnisation, a rowdy D&D and a noisy mall atrium are hosted completely differently. Reading that, in the moment, is the whole job.
Calm when things shift
Late kitchen, a VIP who arrives early, an AV glitch — I keep the room with me and the programme moving while it gets sorted behind the scenes.

You deal with me from the first message to the final cue. Names rehearsed, cues agreed, script shared — the preparation is where a smooth event is actually won.
I stay out of your spotlight
