A booking window of roughly eight to sixteen weeks is comfortable for weddings and year-end company dinners, with peak Saturdays in the bridal and December seasons claimed first. I do hold back a few near-term slots on purpose, though — so even a short-notice event is worth a quick message, and I will give you a straight yes or no on the spot instead of a maybe. A deposit secures your slot; the balance settles before the event itself.
Yes — I host fluently in English and Malay, and in conversational Mandarin for crowds that need it. Bilingual hosting means full segments delivered properly in both languages and paced so neither side of the room is left waiting through a translation, rather than a single token line. Couples and heartland roadshows ask for it more than anything else, and you can switch it on in the Booking Estimator.
Mainly four: weddings (solemnisations, lunches and evening banquets), corporate dinner-and-dances and town halls, product launches and openings, and mall or exhibition roadshows. I also host gala dinners, appreciation nights, awards ceremonies and community events. Unsure whether yours qualifies? Drop me a line — it usually does, and on the rare event that sits outside what I do best, I will say so honestly and recommend a host who fits it better.
I can host from a run-sheet you already have, or write the whole thing with you — a minute-by-minute timeline and a full hosting script shared with your planner, AV and venue beforehand. Full script-writing is a small add-on for events that need it; for simpler bookings I shape the segments from your existing programme on our planning call. Either way, I never turn up with a generic script I reuse every weekend.
For venues with a proper in-house system I work with what is there after a sound check. For sites without one — some restaurants, atriums, gardens and community spaces — you can add a right-sized PA with wireless handheld and lapel mics, set up and tested before guests arrive. You will see the option in the Booking Estimator, and I will always tell you upfront whether your venue needs it.
Hosting is priced by the length of the event, which sets the base package, then any add-ons you choose stack on top. The Booking Estimator on this site works out an honest ballpark in seconds — treat it as a starting figure rather than a locked price. What you actually pay turns on your exact date, venue, hours and add-ons, and lands in writing before any deposit changes hands. Nothing is ever bolted on after the fact.
It has not happened across more than 450 events, but I plan for it anyway. I keep a small circle of trusted emcees I host alongside regularly; if I genuinely could not perform, I would brief one of them on your full run-sheet and script, introduce you ahead of time, and you would never be left without a host. I would also tell you the moment anything changed rather than on the day.
Everywhere. Home base is Tampines, but the work is island-wide — town hotel ballrooms, convention halls, country clubs, mall atriums, community clubs and private homes alike. Events within Singapore carry no travel surcharge. When a venue is far-flung or the solemnisation starts early, I simply build the extra set-up time into the plan so I land well ahead of your first cue.
Of course. The showreel on this site has clips from real weddings, dinners, launches and roadshows so you can get a feel for the tone and energy. If you want, we can also hop on a short call so you can hear how I sound and ask anything — booking an emcee is a trust decision, and I would rather you feel sure than commit on a whim.
