A dorm bed is a single bunk in a shared room — our mixed dorm sleeps eight, the women-only dorm sleeps six — and it is the cheapest, most social way to stay, from S$32 a night. A private room (twin or double) gives two of you a lockable door of your own, while you still share the kitchen, lounge, rooftop and bathrooms with everyone else. Dorms are charged per bed; private rooms are charged per room.

Yes. The women-only dorm is on a keycard-access floor that only female guests can enter, with its own washroom on the same floor. Every bunk has a lockable locker and a privacy curtain, the common areas are covered by CCTV, and an overnight host is on site and reachable all night. Plenty of solo women choose Bunkmate exactly for this balance of safety and a friendly, sociable house.

Everything that should be: fresh linen, fast building-wide WiFi, a lockable locker at your bed, hot showers, the shared kitchen with free tea, coffee and toast, the lounge and rooftop, and our free join-in walking tour. There is no compulsory cleaning fee, no linen fee and no resort fee. The only extras are optional things like the supper crawl (where you just pay for your own food) or laundry.

Price your stay with the Bunk & Stay Planner, then drop us your dates by WhatsApp or via the booking form. A reply lands within the hour; we can set a bed aside for a short while and lock it in with a small PayNow deposit, with the balance paid on arrival. Reception is staffed around the clock, so early or late arrivals are never a problem.

You can settle into a room from 2pm, and we ask you to vacate by 11am — but since reception never closes, you can turn up at any hour; just give us a rough heads-up. Luggage hold is free both before you check in and after you check out, so you can drop bags early or spend your last day exploring without a backpack on your shoulders.

No curfew and no daytime lockout — your keycard works around the clock, so come and go as your trip needs. Bunkmate is an adults-focused backpacker hostel best suited to travellers 18 and over; we are not set up for young children, and we keep the dorms calm after 11pm out of respect for guests catching early flights.

You’ll find us on Bussorah Street in Kampong Glam, four minutes on foot from Bugis MRT and right beside the Sultan Mosque. The cheapest route from Changi is the MRT to Bugis (roughly an hour); a taxi or Grab runs 20–30 minutes. Send us your flight details and we’ll set up a private airport pickup, or talk you through the exact bus and train so you land without the hassle.

Yes. Cancellations are free up to 48 hours before your check-in date, and date changes are easy as long as we have space — just message us. Your PayNow deposit is fully refundable within that window. We would always rather move your booking than lose you, so if your plans wobble, talk to us early.

Whatever you give us when booking — your name, contact and travel dates — is kept private and treated the way Singapore’s PDPA sets out. It exists purely to arrange your stay and answer your message; we won’t spam you with marketing, and your details are never handed to a third party.
