What it is
Laser treatment uses precisely tuned light to target specific concerns in the skin — pigment that scatters and lifts unevenly, dullness, redness, or rough texture — while protecting the surrounding skin. The right device, settings and spacing matter enormously, especially for Asian skin in a sunny climate.
There is no single “best laser”. We assess your skin, your concern and your tolerance, then choose and plan accordingly — sometimes gentle and frequent, sometimes deeper and less often. Pigmentation in particular rewards patience and a proper course over a quick blast.
How it works
For pigmentation and dullness, a gentler brightening laser is usually delivered as a short course to lift uneven tone gradually and safely. For texture, fine lines or scarring, a fractional resurfacing laser works deeper, with a few days of recovery each session.
Throughout, diligent sun protection is non-negotiable — without it, pigment returns. We pair your in-clinic sessions with the right topicals and honest advice, because the at-home half of the plan is what makes the in-clinic half last.
The benefits
- Targets pigmentation, dullness and uneven tone
- Improves texture and fine surface lines
- Device and settings matched to your skin type
- Planned as a safe, paced course
- Paired with topicals and sun-care advice
Who it suits
Most skin types and tones, assessed individually. Active infection, recent sun exposure, certain medications and pregnancy may mean we wait or adjust — the doctor assesses this at consultation.
What to expect
- A skin assessment and patch consideration
- A warm, prickling sensation during treatment
- Sessions of around 20–40 minutes
- A clear at-home and sun-protection plan
Downtime & recovery
Minimal to some — brightening lasers cause a little redness that settles within hours; resurfacing lasers involve a few days of redness and flaking.
Price & what’s next
Lasers & Pigmentation starts from an indicative S$300. Usually a planned course; sun protection is essential. A consultation is required. Because aesthetic treatment is tailored — to the area, the amount needed and whether it’s a single session or a course — the figure is confirmed only after Dr Yeo has assessed you. You’ll receive a clear, itemised plan before anything begins.
