What does a Kaki Walks site actually do for my Singapore tour business?
It turns your tour brand’s website into a booking engine in about a week from S$900. You get a fast, WhatsApp-first site you can try yourself in the live demo, a tour-booking / enquiry flow, the signature Trail Builder that lets travellers design their own walk, a full tour menu with per-tour route pages, a guides page, reviews and trust stats — all built to turn searches into booked walks, and yours to own outright with running costs from S$15/mo.
A walking tour is sold on personality and trust — yet plenty of small operators run a single listing on a big marketplace or a one-page site that takes a 20% cut and hides the customer behind a platform. Kaki Walks flips that: it’s a fast, conversion-focused site with a purple split hero, asymmetric neighbourhood tiles, a full tour menu, a guides page and an interactive Trail Builder, so a traveller scrolling on their phone can go from “what should we do in Singapore?” to a booked walk in a couple of taps — direct, with no marketplace commission skimmed off the top.
The signature Trail Builder is the engine. A traveller picks a neighbourhood, toggles the stops that excite them — a hawker tasting, a temple, a mural hunt, a kopi sit-down — and chooses a pace. The tool assembles an ordered itinerary, sums the walk time, counts the stops and shows an indicative per-pax price, then drops them into WhatsApp with the whole trail pre-filled. It lets people self-design exactly the walk they want, sets expectations up front, and lands the enquiry warm rather than cold — the single biggest difference between a site that browses and a site that books.
And it’s an asset you own, not a rental. You keep 100% of the code and a self-editable CMS, so you update tours, per-pax prices, neighbourhoods, guides and the Trail Builder yourself without paying a developer per change — and without handing a platform a cut of every booking. After launch you only pay what you choose — managed hosting from S$15/mo and optional care from S$150/mo. Start at S$900, then add an online booking calendar, a guest area, CRM integration or neighbourhood landing pages as you grow, up to around S$2,600 for a fully loaded build.
- Launch in 7–14 days from S$900 — a direct booking engine, not a commissioned marketplace listing.
- The Trail Builder lets travellers self-design a walk, then drops them into WhatsApp warm.
- WhatsApp-first booking / enquiry turns curious searches into booked walks — no platform cut.
- A split hero, neighbourhood tiles, tour menu, guides page and reviews built around how travellers pick a tour.
- You own 100% of the code plus a self-editable CMS — update tours and prices yourself, no agency lock-in.
- Predictable running costs: managed hosting from S$15/mo and optional care from S$150/mo, not an open-ended retainer.

What problems does a done-for-you Kaki Walks site fix that marketplaces and freelancers don’t?
It removes what frustrates most tour operators: total dependence on a marketplace that takes a cut and owns the customer, no direct booking, no way for travellers to picture or shape a tour, a look that doesn’t feel distinctive, sites you can’t edit, agency lock-in, missing local SEO and surprise costs. You get a complete, WhatsApp-first, conversion-built city-tours website — with the Trail Builder, booking flow, a full tour menu, route pages, a guides page and reviews — that you own outright, live in 7–14 days from S$900.
Most tour operators trying to grow beyond a marketplace hit the same wall. A big listing platform takes 15–25% of every booking, buries you among competitors, and never hands over the customer’s details so you can rebook them. A cheap one-page site has no tour menu, no route detail and nothing interactive. A freelancer can vanish mid-build or hand over something you can’t touch. A full agency may quote thousands and tie you to their platform. Kaki Walks is designed to remove each of those frustrations.
Speed and conversion: instead of months of theme-wrangling, your site is customised from a proven, WhatsApp-first tours demo and typically delivered in 7–14 days — with a split hero, the Trail Builder, a full tour menu, per-tour route pages, a guides page and a booking flow that actually turn searches into booked, commission-free walks.
A look that earns clicks: the design is a playful, high-energy purple-and-yellow system with Montserrat display type, asymmetric neighbourhood tiles, yellow duration badges and fully-rounded pill CTAs, so it reads as a fun, characterful operator rather than a recoloured template. The Trail Builder and route pages do the “what will we actually do and how much” work that a marketplace thumbnail never can — on a site you actually own and rank on.
Ownership and cost: you own 100% of the code and edit everything through a self-editable CMS, so you’re never tied to a retainer or a platform cut. On-page SEO, GA4 and clean markup are delivered as standard. Pricing is a transparent customiser from S$900 to S$2,600 with 3 revision rounds included — no vague “it depends” invoices.
- Marketplace owns the customer → A direct WhatsApp-first booking / enquiry flow with CTAs on every page.
- Platform takes a cut of every booking → Direct bookings you keep 100% of, on a site you own.
- Nothing to picture or shape → A full tour menu with route pages and an interactive Trail Builder.
- Looks like everyone else → A playful purple-and-yellow design with Montserrat and pill CTAs, tailored to your brand.
- Can’t edit it yourself → A self-editable CMS lets you update tours, prices, guides and stops without a developer.
- Locked into an agency → You own 100% of the code; hosting (from S$15/mo) and care (from S$150/mo) are optional.
- Surprise costs → A transparent customiser shows your price from S$900 to S$2,600 up front, 3 revisions included.

SGBP vs a marketplace, an agency, a freelancer or DIY — which is right for your tours site?
For a Singapore tour operator, SGBP customises the live Kaki Walks site — Trail Builder, WhatsApp-first booking, tour menu, route pages, guides and reviews — in 7–14 days from S$900 to S$2,600, and you own 100% of the code with no lock-in and no booking commission. A marketplace is fast to start but takes a cut and owns the customer; Singapore agencies typically quote far more over several weeks; freelancers vary widely; a DIY builder is cheapest but rarely converts or looks distinctive.
A marketplace listing gets you visibility quickly, but it’s rented ground: it takes a commission on every booking, hides the traveller’s contact details, and ranks you next to a dozen rivals. A direct site is the opposite — every booking is yours, every customer is yours to rebook, and the brand is unmistakably you. The smart play is to use a marketplace for discovery and a Kaki-style site to convert and keep the relationship.
Most Singapore agencies do solid work, but a custom booking-driven tour site is often a multi-thousand-dollar scope spread over weeks — and many keep you on their platform. A freelancer can be cheaper and faster, but quality, code ownership and follow-up swing widely — and tour-specific touches like the Trail Builder, route pages, a guides page and WhatsApp-first booking are rarely built in. A DIY website builder is the lowest cash outlay, but it rarely converts, seldom looks genuinely distinctive, and leaves you wrestling templates instead of leading walks.
SGBP sits in between on purpose: you start from the live Kaki Walks demo, so you can see and click exactly what you’re buying, then we customise it to your brand and tours. Every build is delivered with on-page SEO (with an SEO/AEO upgrade option), SSL, GA4, PDPA-aware forms, a self-editable CMS and a handover manual — the things that often become paid “add-ons” elsewhere.
- Time and cost: 7–14 days, from S$900 to S$2,600 one-time, versus the weeks and far higher fees a custom agency build typically involves.
- No commission: direct bookings you keep 100% of, unlike a marketplace’s 15–25% cut.
- Ownership: you keep 100% of the code and your customer relationships — no platform lock-in.
- See before you buy: the live Kaki Walks demo is the actual product, Trail Builder and booking flow and all.
- Built to convert: the Trail Builder, WhatsApp booking, split hero, route pages and guides page are part of the build, not quoted extra.
- Singapore-ready: PDPA-aware data handling, local tone and SGD per-pax pricing throughout.

What is under the hood of your Kaki Walks tours site?
Under the hood is static-first Astro, exactly what this demo runs on, or a hardened WordPress or Webflow build, served over a global CDN with modern compression and caching. It is fast, WCAG 2.2 AA accessible, SSL-secured and PDPA-aware — and yours to deploy anywhere.
The native build, exactly what this demo runs on, is static-first Astro with a headless CMS and minimal JavaScript. Prefer a familiar CMS? We build a hardened WordPress (+S$250) or Webflow (+S$200) site instead. Whichever you choose, it’s served over a global CDN with modern compression and caching, so it stays fast during a peak-season rush or an ad campaign spike.
We tune for Core Web Vitals: the hero image and tour photos are lazy-loaded in modern formats (WebP/AVIF) with set dimensions to avoid layout shift, so the hero, the neighbourhood tiles and the interactive Trail Builder stay snappy on every device — including the phones nearly every traveller books from. The Trail Builder’s itinerary, walk-time totals and pricing run efficiently client-side, so the trail rebuilds instantly as a traveller taps stops on and off.
SSL/HTTPS and security headers are enforced, the booking and enquiry forms are spam-protected, and data handling is PDPA-aware — important when travellers share names, dates and dietary or mobility needs. Add CRM integration and every booking pipes straight into your tour CRM or mailer. You own 100% of the source code, with no lock-in, so you can host with us from S$15/mo or deploy anywhere yourself.
- Static-first Astro, or a hardened WordPress or Webflow build
- Core Web Vitals tuned; WCAG 2.2 AA accessible, semantic HTML
- Interactive Trail Builder runs efficiently client-side for instant itinerary, time & price
- SSL/HTTPS and security headers; PDPA-aware handling of booking & enquiry data
- Spam-protected booking & enquiry forms with optional CRM / email integration
- Clean SEO markup, XML sitemaps and GA4 included as standard
- 100% source-code ownership, no lock-in, deploy anywhere

Will my Kaki Walks site rank on Google and get quoted by ChatGPT?
Every build is delivered search-ready: clean semantic HTML, a JSON-LD schema graph (TouristTrip, Service, FAQ, Review, Breadcrumb), fast Core Web Vitals, XML sitemaps and Search Console. Answer-first content and Singapore signals — real neighbourhoods, MRT names, hawker culture, PDPA, natural local language — give Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and voice assistants what they need to find and quote you. No rankings are guaranteed.
Plenty of tour sites are built to look fine and little else — messy markup, slow pages, no structured data — so neither Google nor AI engines can tell what tours you run or where they go. We build the opposite. Your Kaki Walks site is delivered with clean semantic HTML5, correct heading order, descriptive alt text, canonical tags and a tidy URL structure. Rankings always depend on your competition, but the technical groundwork is done right from day one.
Here’s the jargon in plain terms. SEO helps you rank on Google for searches like “free walking tour Chinatown Singapore” or “Katong food tour”. AEO and AIO help your content get surfaced and quoted by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews when someone asks “what’s the best walking tour in Singapore?”. GEO makes sure those answers know you operate in Singapore specifically. Voice covers Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa for the “tours near me” questions travellers ask on the move.
The engine is a JSON-LD schema graph baked into every page: TouristTrip and Service markup so your tours are machine-readable; FAQPage so your common answers can be lifted into AI replies; Review markup for trust; BreadcrumbList for structure. The advanced SEO/AEO pack adds speakable markup, Bing and Search Console setup, optional neighbourhood landing pages and an answer-engine optimisation pass — an optional upgrade on the S$900 base build.
- Clean semantic markup: HTML5 structure, logical headings, descriptive alt text and canonical tags.
- Full JSON-LD schema graph: TouristTrip, Service, FAQPage, Review and BreadcrumbList — eligible for rich results and readable by AI engines.
- Tour pages target high-intent local long-tail: “Kampong Glam walking tour”, “Singapore hawker food tour” and AI-Overview-style questions.
- Fast Core Web Vitals: image-optimised, mobile-first pages — a Google ranking factor that also keeps travellers from bouncing.
- Answer-first content: tour copy and FAQs written question-led and concise, so AI engines can quote them cleanly.
- Sitemaps & Search Console: XML and image sitemaps plus robots.txt submitted to Google (and Bing).
- Singapore signals: real neighbourhoods, MRT names, hawker and Peranakan culture, PDPA-aware handling and natural local language throughout.
- You own 100% of the code with a self-editable CMS — update a tour and its SEO fields and schema update automatically.

What does each page of my Kaki Walks tours site actually look like?
You get a full operator site, not a single page: a purple split-hero homepage, a tours listing with filter tabs, a detail page per tour with a stop-by-stop route, a dedicated Trail Builder page, a guides page, a reviews page, an about page, a booking / contact page and an FAQ — rebuilt with your brand, tours and tone.
We start from the live Kaki Walks demo and rebuild every page around your tours, brand and neighbourhoods. Nothing stays as filler: your tours, per-pax prices, copy, imagery, guides and reviews replace the demo content, and each page keeps the features that make the demo convert — the split hero, the neighbourhood tiles, the Trail Builder, the tour menu and the booking flow — wired to you.
Every page is delivered mobile-first with clean SEO markup, PDPA-aware forms and a self-editable CMS, so you can swap a hero image, add a tour or update a price long after handover. The pages below are what’s included in the base S$900 build; site scope, an online booking calendar, advanced SEO, a guest area and CRM integration are where the customiser adds cost, up to S$2,600.
Singapore signals are built in where they help: real neighbourhoods, MRT meeting points, hawker and Peranakan references, a local tone and honest copy throughout. You own 100% of the code, and it’s typically delivered in 7–14 days.
- Homepage — a purple split hero, asymmetric neighbourhood tiles, an awards strip, “why travellers walk with us” pillars, a fun purple banner, three feature cards, featured tour cards, free-tour cards, the Trail Builder, trust stats and reviews — all rebranded to you.
- Tours listing — every tour with filter tabs (free / small-group / private) over a grid of cards with yellow duration badges, plus tour-category cards.
- Tour detail — a banner, overview, highlights, a stop-by-stop route, what’s included and a sticky booking panel with the meeting point and per-pax price.
- Trail Builder — a dedicated page hosting the signature route accumulator, a how-it-works strip and a pricing explainer.
- Our kakis — portrait cards of your guides with their neighbourhoods and bios.
- Reviews — a headline rating band and a wall of traveller reviews.
- About — your operator’s story, the founder, trust stats, the values and the guide crew.
- Book & contact — a booking / enquiry form (no cart): tour, neighbourhood, group size, time and a PDPA-aware consent, plus a WhatsApp option and your meeting points.
- FAQ — an accordion of common questions, ready for FAQ schema.
- Footer & navigation — a playful purple footer with a yellow CTA panel, plus a sticky header with a Neighbourhoods dropdown and a yellow Book Now CTA.

Can the Kaki Walks site scale from one guide to a multi-neighbourhood, multi-tour operator as I grow?
Yes. Your site starts lean at five pages and scales to a 20+ page tour brand with a full tour library, neighbourhood landing pages, an online booking calendar, a guest / group area, CRM integration and even a second language. Add WhatsApp booking and enquiry capture from day one. Because you own 100% of the code, there is no platform lock-in or booking commission holding you back.
Most tour operators launch with a handful of walks and broaden as they grow. Kaki Walks is built for that curve. Day one you might run a tight five-page site with a home, tours, the Trail Builder and booking. As you grow, the customiser lets you step up to 10 or 20+ pages, adding a detail page per tour, neighbourhood landing pages and a travel-tips content engine — so growing the site is a content exercise rather than a rebuild.
Growth is also more channels and more automation. The native Astro build shown in the demo is delivered as a fast, static, mobile-first site served over a global CDN, so a peak-season rush or an ad spike is far less likely to slow it down. When you’re ready, switch on an online booking calendar so travellers self-book a tour slot, and add CRM integration so every booking flows into your follow-up and review-request flows.
Serving more travellers? A multilingual content layer can be added across key pages, with your Singapore positioning staying native. The real future-proofing is ownership: you hold 100% of the code and your customer relationships, delivered with a handover manual in 7–14 days, so the same codebase extends instead of forcing a restart — and no marketplace ever owns your growth.
- Site scope scales from 5 to 20+ pages; add tours, neighbourhood pages and a tips engine as content rather than a rebuild
- The tour menu, Trail Builder and booking flow keep a larger site fast and easy to navigate on mobile
- The native Astro build is static and CDN-served, so it stays fast through peak-season rushes or campaign spikes; WordPress / Webflow builds are hardened and CDN-served too
- Automate as you grow: an online booking calendar plus CRM integration for review requests and rebooking
- Add channels: WhatsApp capture, live chat and a guest / group area for private and corporate bookings
- A multilingual content layer is available for more travellers, with your Singapore positioning native
- You own 100% of the code and your customers, so there is no forced re-platform or commission as you scale

Can I run my Kaki Walks site myself without a developer?
Yes. Your site is delivered with a self-editable CMS, so you add and edit tours, per-pax prices, neighbourhoods, guides, the Trail Builder’s stops and rates, and check your GA4 numbers without touching code. Every task is documented in a plain-English handover manual, and you own 100% of the build. Most non-technical owners get the hang of it quickly.
Running a tour site is mostly small, repeatable updates: a new tour, a price change, a fresh photo, a guide joining the crew. We build all of this into a clean CMS dashboard, so you log in, change the thing you came to change and hit publish. No staging files, no FTP, no “please email the developer”.
Each module from the live demo has a matching settings panel. Your tours and per-pax prices, the Trail Builder’s neighbourhoods, stops, minutes and add-on prices, your guides, your meeting points and the booking-form routing are all configurable from labelled fields. The form recipient is editable too, so bookings reach the right inbox or WhatsApp.
Your site is delivered in 7–14 days with on-page SEO, SSL, GA4 and a PDPA-aware setup. If you ever get stuck, the step-by-step handover manual walks through every task, and your 3 included revision rounds (plus an optional Care plan from S$150/mo) mean help is on hand. But the day-to-day is genuinely designed for a non-technical owner to manage solo.
- Add or edit a tour — set the name, category, blurb, duration, route and per-pax price, and it appears in the menu and filters automatically.
- Edit the Trail Builder — adjust the neighbourhoods, stops, minutes and add-on prices so trails stay accurate to your tours.
- Update prices — change any per-pax price in a click; the tour pages and booking form update together.
- Manage guides — add a guide with a photo, role, neighbourhood and bio.
- Edit a page or hero — update the homepage hero, about and contact copy without code.
- Manage bookings — set the form recipient, tour / neighbourhood routing and the PDPA consent wording.
- Check your GA4 numbers — see visitors, top tours, Trail Builder usage and bookings in Google Analytics.

City / walking-tours website — frequently asked questions
Quick answers on cost, what’s included, timelines, ownership, platforms, the Trail Builder, WhatsApp booking, marketplace commissions, SEO/AEO, PDPA and revisions for a done-for-you city / walking-tours website in Singapore.
How much does a city / walking-tours website cost in Singapore?
A done-for-you walking-tours website in Singapore costs between S$900 and S$2,600 with SGBP. The S$900 base covers a complete, mobile-ready tour-operator site with the Trail Builder tool and a WhatsApp-first booking / enquiry flow built in; the price rises only as you add a platform like WordPress, more pages, an online booking calendar, a guest area or branding. You see the exact figure live in the customiser before you pay.
What exactly do I get for the price?
You get a fully designed and developed site built from the live Kaki Walks demo, your tours and per-pax prices set up, the Trail Builder tool, a WhatsApp-first booking / enquiry flow, a guides page, reviews, a self-editable CMS, full source-code ownership, on-page SEO, SSL, analytics, PDPA-aware forms, 3 revision rounds and a step-by-step handover manual. Everything you select in the customiser is itemised in your order summary.
How long does it take to build and launch?
Most tour sites are designed, built and launched in 7 to 14 days from payment. Larger 20+ page sites, neighbourhood landing pages, an online booking calendar, a guest area or CRM integration can sit at the upper end of that range. We send a private preview link first, you use your revisions, then we launch on your domain.
Do I own the website and can I edit it myself?
Yes. You own 100% of the code and your content outright — there is no licence trap and no agency lock-in. Every build is delivered with a self-editable CMS so you can add tours, change per-pax prices, edit the Trail Builder’s stops and refresh photos yourself, with a plain-English manual to guide you.
What is the Trail Builder and how does it help?
It is the signature interactive tool: a traveller picks a neighbourhood, toggles the stops they want — a hawker tasting, a temple, a mural hunt, a kopi stop — and chooses a pace. The tool builds an ordered itinerary, sums the walk time, counts the stops and shows an indicative per-pax price, then drops them into WhatsApp with the whole trail pre-filled. It lets people self-design exactly the walk they want and lands the enquiry warm. It is fully editable in the CMS, so your neighbourhoods, stops and prices drive it.
Is this a shop — does it have a cart or checkout?
No, and deliberately so. A walking tour is a service-booking business, so the site has a WhatsApp-first booking / enquiry flow instead of an e-commerce cart. The job of the site is to turn searches into booked walks via the Trail Builder, tour menu, route pages, booking form and WhatsApp. If you later want true self-service slot booking, the customiser adds an online booking calendar.
Will it help me take direct bookings instead of paying marketplace commission?
Yes — that is much of the point. A marketplace listing takes a cut of every booking and keeps the customer’s details. Your own Kaki Walks site takes direct bookings over WhatsApp and a PDPA-aware form, so you keep 100% of the fee and own the relationship to rebook and request reviews. Many operators use a marketplace for discovery and a direct site to convert and keep the customer.
Which platform should I choose — Astro, WordPress or Webflow?
The native Astro build shown in the demo is the fastest and cheapest to run and the best for SEO. Choose WordPress if your team already knows it and wants full control, or Webflow for a visual in-browser editor. The customiser shows the exact price difference for each option.
Can travellers book over WhatsApp and via a form?
Yes. Every build includes WhatsApp-first CTAs throughout plus a PDPA-aware booking / enquiry form that routes to your inbox. Add the online booking calendar for true self-service slot booking, and CRM integration to pipe bookings into your follow-up and review-request flows.
Will the site rank on Google and show up in AI search?
Yes. Every build is delivered with an SEO foundation — clean markup, fast Core Web Vitals, sitemaps and TouristTrip, Service, FAQ and Review structured data, well suited to local tour searches. The Advanced SEO / AEO pack adds a full schema graph, answer-engine optimisation, optional neighbourhood landing pages and Search Console setup so you can be found on Google and quoted by AI assistants. Rankings are never guaranteed.
How is customer data handled under PDPA?
We handle information in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and your site is delivered with SSL/HTTPS by default. Booking and enquiry details, including dates and any dietary or mobility notes, are stored securely, consented and never sold, and the forms include PDPA consent wording. If you add a guest area, gated content is access-controlled.
What are revisions and how many are included?
A revision is a round of changes you request after seeing your preview — copy tweaks, layout changes, colour adjustments, content edits, Trail Builder stop and price changes and the like. Three rounds are included free. If you want more breathing room you can add extra rounds at S$200 each in the customiser.
Do I need hosting and maintenance?
No — you can host the site yourself since the code is yours. If you would rather not, add Managed or Pro Hosting and a Care plan in the customiser (billed monthly or annually). Care covers updates, backups, security and small content changes so you can focus on leading walks.
Can it handle free, paid, private and themed tours together?
Yes. The tour menu groups walks by category — free walking tours, small-group tours, private tours and themed tours — with filter tabs on the listing page, free tours marked clearly, and per-pax or per-group prices on the paid ones. Free tours can run on a pay-what-you-feel basis with a simple reservation, exactly as the demo shows.
