What does a Heng Wok website actually do for my Singapore hawker stall?
It gets your hawker stall taking orders online — order-ahead pickup and islandwide delivery — in about a week, from S$500, with no monthly platform fee and no per-order commission. You get an appetising, conversion-focused site you can try yourself in the live demo, the signature Build-Your-Plate combo builder, a menu that lets diners skip the queue, an asset you own outright, and running costs from S$15/mo.
Most hawkers who go online end up on a delivery aggregator that takes 25–35% commission on every order, or a generic platform with a monthly fee — and the stall never owns the storefront. Heng Wok gives you your own ordering site you own outright, customised to your dishes and brand, live in 7–14 days from S$500. Diners order ahead and pay you directly, so you keep the margin a commission would have eaten, and the queue at the stall gets shorter.
Crucially, it is built for how hawker food actually sells. The signature Build-Your-Plate is the star: it recreates the cai-png experience online — a diner picks a base (rice, noodles or nasi lemak), chooses two, three or four dishes from the wok, sets their spice level and adds a fried egg, and the price updates live by combo size before it drops into their order. Around it sit an appetising menu by craving, per-dish spice options, order-ahead pickup, a free-delivery bar, reviews and group-order shortcuts — all tuned for the phone, where every food order happens.
Finally, it is an asset you own and can grow, not a rental with a commission. You keep 100% of the code and a self-editable CMS, so you can change a price, sell out a dish, add a special or update your combos yourself without paying anyone. After launch you only pay what you choose — managed hosting from S$15/mo and optional care from S$150/mo — instead of a platform cut. Start lean at S$500, then add a blog, an SEO pack, loyalty, group ordering or a bigger menu as you grow, up to around S$2,000 for a fully loaded build.
- Keep your margin — no 25–35% aggregator commission and no monthly platform fee; you own the site for a one-time build from S$500.
- Build-Your-Plate recreates the cai-png combo experience online with live pricing — a conversion engine no generic theme delivers.
- Order-ahead pickup shortens the stall queue and lets regulars skip the line; islandwide delivery reaches diners at home.
- Diners pay you directly via PayNow, cards or Atome — no app for them to install.
- You own 100% of the code plus a self-editable CMS — change prices, sell out a dish or add a special yourself, no developer.
- Predictable running costs: managed hosting from S$15/mo and optional care from S$150/mo, not a commission on every plate.

What problems does a done-for-you Heng Wok site fix that aggregators and DIY don’t?
It removes what frustrates most Singapore hawkers going online: hefty delivery-app commissions, no ownership of the storefront, long stall queues, no way to take order-ahead, generic menus that don’t sell, no spice or combo options, no SEO and surprise costs. You get a complete, conversion-ready ordering site — with Build-Your-Plate, order-ahead, spice options and delivery built in — that you own outright, live in 7–14 days from S$500.
Most hawker stalls have the same options and the same wall. A delivery aggregator brings orders but takes a big commission and owns the customer. A generic website builder charges monthly and looks like everyone else. And DIY eats the time you’d rather spend at the wok. Heng Wok is designed to fix each of these, not just shuffle them around.
Commission and ownership first: you own 100% of the code and pay once, so no aggregator takes a cut of every plate and no platform owns your customers. Your site looks like your stall, with your dishes and your story. Speed: instead of months, your site is customised from a proven hawker demo and typically delivered in 7–14 days.
Then the ordering itself, built for hawker food. Build-Your-Plate handles the cai-png combo logic — base, dish count, spice — that a generic cart can’t. Per-dish spice options (no chilli, mild, hot, extra hot), order-ahead with a 15-minute pickup, a free-delivery threshold and group-order shortcuts are all built in. Diners order in a minute on their phone, with no app to download.
And visibility: unlike an aggregator listing, your own site is delivered with on-page SEO, clean markup and GA4, so you can be found on Google for “char kway teow delivery Singapore” and quoted by AI search. Pricing is a transparent customiser from S$500 to S$2,000 with 3 revision rounds included — no vague invoices.
- Aggregator commission → You own the site and diners pay you directly — keep the 25–35% a delivery app would take.
- No ownership → 100% source-code ownership and a CMS you control; no platform owns your customers or storefront.
- Long stall queue → Order-ahead with ~15-minute pickup lets regulars skip the line and smooths your lunch rush.
- Generic cart can’t do combos → Build-Your-Plate recreates cai-png — base, dish count, spice — with live pricing.
- No spice / portion options → Per-dish spice levels and combo sizes are built in, just like ordering at the stall.
- Can’t edit it yourself → A self-editable CMS plus a manual let you change prices, sell out a dish or add a special without paying anyone.
- Invisible on Google → On-page SEO, clean markup and GA4 are delivered as standard, with an SEO/AEO pack to push harder.
- Surprise costs → A transparent customiser shows your price from S$500 to S$2,000 up front, 3 revisions included.

SGBP vs a delivery aggregator, a platform or DIY — which is right for your hawker stall?
For a Singapore hawker stall, SGBP customises the live Heng Wok site — Build-Your-Plate, order-ahead, spice options and delivery and all — in 7–14 days from S$500 to S$2,000 one-time, and you own 100% of the code with no commission. A delivery aggregator brings orders but takes 25–35% per order and owns the customer; a generic platform charges monthly; DIY is cheapest in cash but slow and rarely handles combos or spice.
A delivery aggregator is the easiest way to get orders, but it takes a hefty commission on every plate, owns your customer relationship, and your stall is one listing among thousands. Once orders are steady, that commission really adds up — and you have nothing to show for it but a profile you don’t control.
A generic website builder or platform can be cheaper than an agency, but you pay monthly, your site looks templated, and hawker-specific touches like a cai-png combo builder, per-dish spice levels, order-ahead with timed pickup and a free-delivery bar are rarely built in. DIY on a template is the lowest cash outlay, but it can quietly cost weeks of your time and still not handle combos or spice cleanly.
SGBP sits in between on purpose: you start from the live Heng Wok demo, so you can see and click exactly what you are buying before you commit, then we customise it to your stall and dishes. You own it outright with no commission. Every build is delivered with on-page SEO (with an SEO/AEO upgrade option), SSL, GA4, a secure SGD checkout, PDPA-aware data handling, a self-editable CMS and a handover manual — the things an aggregator rents you a slice of.
- Cost model: a one-time build from S$500 to S$2,000 that you own, versus a 25–35% commission on every order forever.
- Ownership: you keep 100% of the code, the storefront and the customer — no aggregator or platform in between.
- See before you buy: the live Heng Wok demo is the actual product, Build-Your-Plate and all.
- Built for hawker: a cai-png combo builder, per-dish spice, order-ahead pickup and a free-delivery bar are part of the build.
- Singapore-ready: a secure SGD checkout (PayNow, cards, Atome), PDPA-aware data handling and islandwide delivery.
- Optional, not obligatory: managed hosting from S$15/mo and a Care plan from S$150/mo if you want it hands-off.

What is under the hood of your Heng Wok hawker ordering site?
Under the hood is static-first Astro, exactly what this demo runs on, or a hardened Shopify, WooCommerce or Webflow build, served over a global CDN with modern compression and caching. It is fast, WCAG 2.2 AA accessible, SSL-secured, SGD-ready and PDPA-aware — and yours to deploy anywhere.
The native build, exactly what this demo runs on, is static-first Astro with a headless CMS and minimal JavaScript. Prefer a hosted platform? We build a hardened Shopify (+S$300), WooCommerce (+S$250) or Webflow (+S$200) store instead. Whichever you choose, it is served over a global CDN with modern compression and caching, so it stays fast even when a viral food review or a lunch-rush spike sends a sudden flood of orders.
We tune for Core Web Vitals: images are lazy-loaded in modern formats (WebP/AVIF) with set dimensions to avoid layout shift, so the menu grid, the slide-out order and the interactive Build-Your-Plate stay snappy on mobile, where every food order happens. The Build-Your-Plate combo logic and live-pricing maths run efficiently client-side, so building a plate feels instant.
SSL/HTTPS and security headers are enforced, checkout is SGD-ready, and data handling is PDPA-aware — important when you capture names, pickup times and delivery addresses. Add the payment gateway and you get PCI-compliant payments through Stripe or HitPay, including PayNow, cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Atome — no app for your diner to install. You own 100% of the source code, with no lock-in, so you can host with us from S$15/mo or deploy anywhere yourself.

Will my Heng Wok hawker site rank on Google and get quoted by ChatGPT?
Every build is delivered search-ready: clean semantic HTML, a JSON-LD schema graph (Product, Offer, FAQ, Breadcrumb, Organization, LocalBusiness, Menu), fast Core Web Vitals, XML sitemaps and Search Console. Answer-first content and Singapore signals — SGD, PayNow, PDPA, areaServed Singapore, islandwide delivery, the Maxwell location and hours — give Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and voice assistants the structure they need to find and quote you. Unlike an aggregator listing, your own site can actually be optimised. No rankings are guaranteed.
When you live on a delivery aggregator, the aggregator gets the Google traffic, not you. Your own Heng Wok site flips that. It is delivered with clean semantic HTML5, correct heading order, descriptive alt text on every dish image, canonical tags and a tidy URL structure — the foundation search engines and crawlers reward. Rankings always depend on your dishes and competition, but the technical groundwork is done right from day one.
Here is what the jargon means in plain terms. SEO helps you rank on Google for searches like “char kway teow Maxwell” or “hokkien mee delivery Singapore”. AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) and AIO (AI Optimisation) help your site get surfaced and quoted by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews when someone asks “best laksa near Tanjong Pagar” or “where to order hawker food for the office”. GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) makes sure those answers know you’re at Maxwell and deliver islandwide. Voice covers Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa — short, spoken-friendly answers a diner can ask for hands-free.
The engine behind this is a JSON-LD schema graph baked into every page: Product, Offer and Menu markup (SGD price and reviews) so listings become eligible for Google rich results; FAQPage so your order-ahead, delivery and spice answers can be lifted into AI replies; BreadcrumbList so categories like Wok Classics → Char Kway Teow are machine-readable; LocalBusiness so your Maxwell location, hours and Singapore service area are unambiguous. The Build-Your-Plate and dish content is a natural fit for food long-tail. The advanced SEO/AEO pack adds speakable markup, Bing and Search Console setup and an answer-engine pass — an optional upgrade on the S$500 base build.
- Clean semantic markup: HTML5 structure, logical headings, descriptive alt text and canonical tags — built for crawlers and AI parsers, not just browsers.
- Full JSON-LD schema graph: Product, Offer, Menu, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList and LocalBusiness — your dishes, location and FAQs become eligible for Google rich results and readable by AI engines.
- Own-site SEO you control — unlike an aggregator listing where they get the Google traffic.
- Fast Core Web Vitals: image-optimised, mobile-first pages — page experience is a Google ranking factor and keeps diners from bouncing.
- Answer-first content: dish and FAQ copy written question-led and concise, so AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity can quote it cleanly.
- Sitemaps & Search Console: XML and image sitemaps plus robots.txt submitted to Google (and Bing) so new dishes get found and indexed sooner.
- Singapore signals: SGD pricing, PayNow, PDPA-aware data handling, areaServed Singapore, Maxwell location and “islandwide delivery”.
- You own 100% of the code with a self-editable CMS — add a dish and its SEO fields and schema update automatically.

What does each page of my Heng Wok hawker site actually look like?
You get a full hawker ordering site, not a template: a bold homepage, an order-by-craving menu, category pages, dish pages with spice options, the signature Build-Your-Plate, a slide-out order with a free-delivery bar, customer reviews, an about page and a working find-us/FAQ page — rebuilt with your stall, dishes and SGD pricing.
We start from the live Heng Wok demo and rebuild every page around your menu, stall and tone. Nothing stays as filler: your dishes, prices in S$, copy, imagery, categories and spice options replace the demo content, and each page keeps the conversion features that make the demo work — craving filters, per-dish pricing, the Build-Your-Plate tool and the order drawer — wired to your menu.
Every page is delivered mobile-first with clean SEO markup, a secure SGD checkout and a self-editable CMS, so you can change a price, sell out a dish or add a special long after handover. The pages below are what is included in the base S$500 build; menu size, a blog, advanced SEO, loyalty and the full order-ahead/delivery pipeline are where the customiser adds cost, up to S$2,000.
Singapore signals are built in where they help diners trust and order: the free-islandwide-delivery threshold is shown in S$, the trust strip leads with wok-hei / fried-to-order, the Maxwell location and hours are listed, and checkout is set up for PayNow, cards and Atome — PDPA-aware, no app. You own 100% of the code, and it is typically delivered in 7–14 days.
- Homepage — yellow header and teal heading, an order-ahead promise up top, then order-by-craving tiles, signature-dish grids, the Build-Your-Plate entry point, a wok-hei trust strip and a specials signup — all rebranded to your stall.
- Order by craving — clear tiles covering wok classics, rice & noodle plates, noodle soups, sides, combos and drinks, each leading to its own category.
- Signature dishes — homepage grids of top-rated dishes with add-to-order — the social proof diners look for.
- Build-Your-Plate feature — a homepage band inviting diners into the signature combo tool.
- Menu — a filterable grid with craving chips, a live item count and free-delivery messaging, so diners can browse your whole menu (20 to 150+ dishes) and add to order straight from the grid.
- Category page — one page per craving (Wok Classics, Soups, or yours), each with its own intro, item count, a sort dropdown and a cross-sell to other cravings at the foot.
- Dish page — image, description, star rating, per-dish price, spice-level options, Add to order, and a prompt to use Build-Your-Plate, plus related dishes.
- Build-Your-Plate — the signature tool: pick a base, choose two/three/four dishes from the wok, set spice and add a fried egg; the price updates live by combo size and adds to the order.
- About — a branded hero, your stall’s origin story and a stat strip (rating, plates fried, years) that builds trust and supports SEO with real, editable copy.
- Reviews — a dedicated wall of star-rated reviews with an aggregate rating, plus testimonial blocks reused on the homepage for social proof.
- Find us / Contact — your stall location, hours, WhatsApp and email, plus a working enquiry form with topic routing (pickup, delivery, group order) — PDPA-aware and ready for your inbox.
- Order — slide-out drawer and full order page with a free-islandwide-delivery progress bar, quantity controls, a live SGD subtotal and a PayNow / cards / Atome checkout.

Can the Heng Wok site scale from one stall to several outlets and a 150-dish menu?
Yes. Your site starts lean with a focused signature menu and scales to a 150+ dish catalogue with a full order-ahead and delivery pipeline, multi-outlet pickup, loyalty and a WhatsApp ordering flow as you grow. Because you own 100% of the code with no commission, there is nothing taking a cut as you scale.
Most Singapore hawkers start with a tight signature menu and one stall, then grow once a few dishes take off. Heng Wok is built for that curve. Day one you might run 20 dishes at one stall. As demand proves out, the customiser lets you step up to 60, 150, or a 150+ menu pulled straight from your POS or central-kitchen feed with auto price and availability sync, so adding dishes is a sync rather than a rebuild. The filterable menu, craving tiles, order-ahead and Build-Your-Plate you saw in the demo keep a bigger menu easy to browse on any phone.
Growth is not only more dishes, it is more outlets and more channels. The native Astro build shown in the demo is delivered as a fast, static, mobile-first site served over a global CDN, so a viral food review or a lunch rush is far less likely to slow it down or run up a bill, and your optional Managed Hosting keeps it online. (Choose Shopify, WooCommerce or Webflow instead and you get a hardened, CDN-served build on that platform’s hosting.) When you open a second stall, multi-outlet pickup and per-outlet menus can be layered in; when you’re ready, switch on loyalty and group ordering.
Catering, office accounts or a second brand? Bulk-order forms, corporate accounts and itemised invoicing can be added, with SGD and PayNow staying native. The real future-proofing, though, is ownership: you hold 100% of the code with a self-editable CMS, delivered with a handover manual in 7–14 days. There is no aggregator taking a cut and no locked platform — when the business grows, the same codebase extends instead of forcing a migration.
- Menu scales from 20 to a 150+ catalogue; large menus import via your POS / central-kitchen feed with auto price and availability sync
- Order-ahead, spice options and delivery scale with you — add more pickup slots, zones or a second outlet
- The native Astro build is static and CDN-served, so it stays fast through viral reviews or lunch rushes; Shopify / WooCommerce / Webflow builds are hardened and CDN-served too
- Grow revenue: a full order-ahead and delivery pipeline, loyalty and group / office ordering
- Add channels as you grow: a WhatsApp Business ordering flow plus specials and abandoned-cart email
- Multi-outlet pickup, corporate accounts and catering forms are available as you expand, with SGD and PayNow native
- You own 100% of the code with no commission, so nothing takes a cut as you scale

Can I run my Heng Wok hawker site myself without a developer?
Yes. Your site is delivered with a self-editable CMS, so you add dishes, change prices, sell out an item, edit the Build-Your-Plate combos and spice options, swap photos and check your GA4 numbers without touching code. Every task is documented in a plain-English handover manual, and you own 100% of the build. It’s designed for a busy hawker to manage from a phone between orders.
Running a hawker stall is mostly small, daily updates: today’s specials, a price tweak, a “sold out” toggle when the cockles run out, a new dish. We build all of this into a clean CMS dashboard, so you log in from your phone, change the thing you came to change and hit publish. No staging files, no FTP, no “please email the developer” — your changes go live on the site.
Each module from the live demo has a matching settings panel. Your payment options (PayNow, cards and wallets via Stripe/HitPay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Atome), the free-islandwide-delivery threshold, the Build-Your-Plate bases, combo tiers, dishes, spice levels and add-ons, order-ahead slots, delivery zones, loyalty, WhatsApp and product reviews are all configurable from labelled fields, not buried in code. SGD pricing is wired in so your checkout stays accurate.
Your site is delivered in 7–14 days with on-page SEO, SSL, GA4 and a PDPA-aware setup. If you ever get stuck, the step-by-step handover manual walks through every task above, and your 3 included revision rounds (plus an optional Care plan from S$150/mo) mean help is on hand. But the day-to-day is genuinely designed for a non-technical hawker to manage solo from a phone.
- Add or edit a dish — upload a photo and set the name, price, unit, description, category and spice options, then publish; it appears in the menu, category and search automatically.
- Edit Build-Your-Plate — add or re-price the bases, combo tiers, dishes, spice levels and add-ons so the live pricing stays accurate.
- Sell out or change a price — edit one field to change a price or flip a dish to “sold out”; it updates across the site.
- Edit a page or banner — update the homepage hero, craving tiles, About and Find-us copy, or swap the announcement bar in a click.
- Manage order-ahead — set pickup slots, prep/lead time and the delivery zones and fee from one settings screen.
- Configure payments — add your PayNow/Stripe/HitPay keys, confirm SGD pricing, and run a test order before going live.
- Update photos — swap dish and stall photos to keep the menu fresh and appetising.
- Check your GA4 numbers — see visitors, top dishes, Build-Your-Plate completions and orders in Google Analytics, so you know what to cook more of.

Hawker stall ordering website — frequently asked questions
Quick answers on cost, what’s included, timelines, ownership, platforms, payments, order-ahead, the Build-Your-Plate tool, menu sync, SEO/AEO, PDPA and revisions for a done-for-you hawker stall ordering website in Singapore.
How much does a hawker stall website cost in Singapore?
A done-for-you hawker stall ordering website in Singapore costs between S$500 and S$2,000 with SGBP — a one-time build, not a monthly fee or a commission. The S$500 base covers a complete, mobile-ready site with the Build-Your-Plate tool built in; the price rises only as you add a platform like Shopify, more dishes, order-ahead, loyalty or branding. You see the exact figure live in the customiser before you pay.
How is this better than a delivery app like the aggregators?
Delivery apps bring orders but take roughly 25–35% commission on every plate and own your customer. With your own Heng Wok site, diners order ahead and pay you directly, so you keep that margin — and you own the storefront, the customer and the data. Many hawkers use both: aggregators for reach, their own site for regulars and order-ahead.
What exactly do I get for the price?
You get a fully designed and developed ordering site built from the live Heng Wok demo, your dishes imported, the Build-Your-Plate tool, a self-editable CMS, full source-code ownership, on-page SEO, SSL, analytics, a secure SGD checkout, 3 revision rounds and a step-by-step handover manual. Everything you select in the customiser is itemised in your order summary.
How long does it take to build and launch?
Most hawker ordering sites are designed, built and launched in 7 to 14 days from payment. Larger menus, POS syncing, order-ahead/delivery or loyalty can sit at the upper end of that range. We send a private preview link first, you use your revisions, then we launch on your domain.
Do I own the website and can I edit it myself?
Yes. You own 100% of the code and the site outright — no licence trap, no platform lock-in and no commission. Every build is delivered with a self-editable CMS so you can add dishes, change prices, sell out an item, edit combos and spice options yourself, with a plain-English manual to guide you.
How does Build-Your-Plate work?
It recreates cai-png online. Your diner picks a base (rice, noodles or nasi lemak), chooses two, three or four dishes from the wok, sets a spice level and adds extras like a fried egg. The price updates live by combo size, then adds to their order. You can edit every base, combo tier, dish, spice level and add-on yourself.
How do payments work, and do you support PayNow?
You pay SGBP securely in Singapore dollars and receive an itemised invoice. With the payment-gateway add-on, your finished site accepts PayNow, credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Atome through Stripe or HitPay — all on your diner’s phone, no app to install, and the money comes straight to you with no commission.
Can it do order-ahead pickup and delivery?
Yes — that’s the core of it. Order-ahead lets diners pick a pickup time so the food is freshly wok-fried when they arrive and they skip the queue. Add the order-ahead/delivery option for timed pickup slots, delivery zones and a free-delivery threshold.
How does menu management and POS sync work?
You manage your menu yourself in the CMS and can flip a dish to “sold out” in one tap when the cockles run out. If you carry a large menu or several outlets, the 150+ synced option connects your POS or central-kitchen feed for automatic price and availability updates, so a bigger menu is a sync rather than a manual rebuild.
Will the site rank on Google and show up in AI search?
Yes. Unlike an aggregator listing, your own site is delivered with an SEO foundation — clean markup, fast Core Web Vitals, sitemaps and structured data. The Advanced SEO / AEO pack adds a full schema graph, LocalBusiness markup, answer-engine optimisation and Search Console setup so you can be found on Google and quoted by AI assistants like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. Rankings are never guaranteed.
How is customer data handled under PDPA?
We handle your information in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and your site is delivered with SSL/HTTPS by default. Order, pickup and address details are stored securely, consented and never sold. Payments run through PCI-compliant gateways.
What are revisions and how many are included?
A revision is a round of changes you request after seeing your preview — copy tweaks, layout changes, colour adjustments, Build-Your-Plate edits and the like. Three rounds are included free. If you want more breathing room you can add extra rounds at S$200 each in the customiser.
Is the design unique or a template?
You start from the proven Heng Wok design you can see and click in the live demo, then we customise it to your stall — your name, logo, colours, dishes, copy, imagery and Build-Your-Plate options. It is a tailored build on a conversion-tested foundation, not a generic theme dump.
