Menda exists because too many Singapore households are told to bin a fixable appliance. We're a small, vetted team who diagnose honestly, carry the common parts, and save you the cost of a replacement whenever it's the right call.
Our story
Eugene Soh spent years as a manufacturer service engineer, sent out to homes across the island to fix fridges and washers under warranty. The job he hated most was the one he saw constantly off-warranty: a household paying for a brand-new appliance because someone had quoted them a fortune — or simply couldn't be bothered to diagnose a fault that turned out to be a $90 part.
So in 2016 he started Menda on a simple rule: diagnose properly, quote honestly, and only ever recommend a replacement when the numbers genuinely say so. The team has grown to a handful of specialists who each own an area — cooling, laundry, kitchen — and who you tend to see again rather than a different stranger each time.
Today we run two small workshops, carry the parts that fail most often on the popular Singapore brands, and back every repair for 90 days. We're deliberately not the biggest. We'd rather be the team a neighbour tells you to call.
