Repair questions, answered
Callout, parts, timing & warranty
The things Singapore households ask us most, from how the diagnostic callout works to whether an ageing appliance is worth repairing.

For most repairs we charge a small diagnostic callout — from $40 — to send a technician out and properly diagnose the fault on site. That callout is then credited against the repair when you choose to go ahead, so if you proceed you are effectively only paying for parts and labour. It is worth it because guessing a fault over the phone wastes everyone’s time and money; a proper diagnosis means a firm, honest quote before anything is touched.
We focus on home white goods and kitchen appliances: fridges and freezers, washing machines and clothes dryers, built-in and freestanding electric ovens and cookers, dishwashers, and cooker hoods. We work on front- and top-loaders, vented, condenser and heat-pump dryers, and the popular Singapore brands. We do not handle gas cookers or gas connections — those need a licensed gas specialist, and we will say so.
Most of our jobs wrap up in one visit, because the parts that fail most often on the common brands — defrost heaters, drain pumps, door seals, heating elements and so on — ride with us. When a fault calls for a rarer or brand-specific part, we order it and arrange a return fitting, telling you the timing and cost beforehand so nothing catches you out.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no, and we will give you the honest answer. The rule of thumb we use is the cost of the repair against the appliance’s age and what a comparable new one costs. If a ten-year-old dryer needs a part worth more than half a new machine, we will tell you to replace it rather than sell you the repair. Saving you from a bad spend is how we keep customers.
Drop us a WhatsApp with the appliance, the brand and what it is doing — a photo of the model plate or any error code helps a lot. During opening hours (Mon–Sat, 9am to 7pm) we typically respond inside an hour with the callout fee and a likely cost range, then arrange a technician for whenever suits you best. True emergencies — a leaking washer, or a dead fridge full of food — can usually jump to a priority same-day visit.
Always. Once the appliance is diagnosed on site you get a firm parts-and-labour price, and we replace or charge for nothing until you approve it. The diagnostic callout is the only fee you commit to in advance, and it comes off the repair if you proceed. There is no come-in-then-spring-a-bigger-bill routine, and we never invent faults to pad a job.
Most of our work is residential — across HDB flats, condominiums and landed homes island-wide. We also handle light commercial jobs: appliances in small offices, cafés, co-living spaces and serviced apartments. For heavy-duty commercial laundry or catering equipment, we will tell you straight whether the job suits us before you commit to a visit.
Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed for 90 days, so if the fault we fixed reappears on a part we fitted inside that window, the return visit costs you nothing. Where applicable, replacement parts also come with their own manufacturer warranty, which we note on your invoice.
Anything you share — your details and photos of the fault — is kept private and handled in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We rely on it purely to set up your visit and follow up on the repair; we do not market at you and we do not pass it to third parties.
