We are a small Singapore practice that believes architecture should be quiet, generous and built to last.

The practice
Lattice Architects was founded in Singapore in 2008 as a studio that designs across architecture, interiors and landscape under one roof. We are deliberately small — nine people who would rather do a handful of projects properly than many of them at arm’s length.
Our work runs from landed homes and waterfront houses to workplaces, small civic buildings and the public ground between them. What ties it together is not a style but a way of working: listen closely, design with restraint, build with care, and stay until it is finished.
We work mostly in Singapore and the region, with a particular feel for building well in a tropical climate and within a dense, regulated city. Every project is led personally by a principal, from the first conversation to the last day on site.
How we work
Quiet over loud
We design buildings that hold their value because they are considered, not because they shout. Restraint is a discipline, not a shortage of ideas.
Built for the climate
Shade, breeze and water come before the air-conditioning. A building that works with Singapore’s weather is cheaper to run and kinder to live in.
Detailed to the joint
The difference between good and ordinary lives in the junctions. We draw them ourselves and stay on site to see them built.
One team, one vision
Architecture, interiors and landscape are designed together under one roof, so the finished project reads as a single, coherent idea.
The people

Reuben Sng
Founding Principal
Reuben founded the practice in 2008 after a decade in larger Singapore and Tokyo studios. He leads design across the studio and still draws every project’s key sections himself.

Mei Lin Goh
Principal, Interiors
Mei Lin leads the interiors studio, where she is known for tactile, low-light rooms detailed down to the last joint. She joined Lattice in 2012 from a furniture-making background.

Daniyal Rahim
Associate, Landscape
Daniyal heads the landscape team, bringing a soft-engineering and native-planting focus to every court and garden the studio designs across Singapore and the region.
We take on a small number of projects a year. If yours might be one of them, get in touch.
