Absolutely. Plenty of our members walked in after a long break, or had never picked up a barbell at all. Because every session is coached and the loading is set per person, a first-timer and a seasoned lifter can share the same capped group while each works at a weight that suits them. Your free trial opens with a short movement screen and a chat about what you’re after, so the coach eases you in at the right level instead of dropping you in at the deep end.
It turns your training into a clear monthly price. You pick your main goal — strength, fat loss, conditioning or general fitness — choose how often you can realistically train, then toggle any add-ons like 1-on-1 PT, nutrition coaching or recovery and InBody. The tool recommends the membership tier that fits and shows the monthly figure updating as you go. It’s a guide to help you choose, not a binding quote — your coach confirms the right plan on your trial.
No. Volt memberships are month-to-month with no joining fee. You can pause, change tier or stop with notice — we’d rather earn your next month with good coaching than tie you into a year. The only thing you commit to upfront is a free trial session, and there’s no card required for that.
Deliberately small. Barbell Strength is capped at eight lifters per coach, Engine Conditioning and Hyrox at ten, and Small-Group PT runs with just three or four people. That cap is the whole point of a boutique gym — it’s what lets a coach actually watch your sets, correct your technique and load you individually, rather than running a crowd from the front.
There are two, both central and only minutes on foot from an MRT. Volt Tanjong Pagar sits on Tras Street in the CBD, about four minutes on foot from Tanjong Pagar station, while Volt one-north is on Ayer Rajah Crescent, six minutes from one-north station. One membership covers both, so you can slot a session in near the office or near home, whichever suits the day.
Your membership covers your coached group sessions at the frequency you choose, app booking and your progress log, with InBody scans included on the Engine tier and above. Add-ons sit on top of any membership: 1-on-1 personal training, nutrition coaching, and a recovery-and-InBody package. Both. You can train entirely one-to-one with a dedicated coach, train in tiny three-to-four-person small-group PT slots, or join our capped group programmes — or mix all three. Many members build a base with a block of private sessions, then move into groups once they’re confident, keeping the same coach throughout so the programme stays joined up.
Yes. Our Hyrox & Competition Prep programme is built around hybrid racing — the runs, sleds, carries and the transitions between them — and we periodise it towards your event date so you peak at the right time. Coaches find your weak stations and turn them into strengths. You don’t need an event booked to join, but if you have a date, this is the room that gets you to the line ready.
Everything you pass to us — contact details, your trial enquiry, any notes on injuries or goals — stays confidential and is governed by Singapore’s PDPA rules. It exists for one purpose: to set up your trial, coach you safely and check in about your membership. We don’t send you marketing junk, and your details never leave Volt.
