My Bangkok street-food trail, eaten in 48 hours

Forty-eight hours in Bangkok is barely enough, so I built a tight, walkable trail through three neighbourhoods. Start with boat noodles — order three or four small bowls and let them stack up the way the locals do.

Grilled moo ping from a cart is the perfect walking snack, and the night market satays are smokier than anything I find at home. But the unmissable stop is a corner mango sticky rice stall whose coconut cream I’m still thinking about.

Pace yourself, carry small notes, and follow the queues of office workers at lunch — they never steer you wrong. Full map and stall names in the post.

A tight, walkable Bangkok eating trail you can actually finish in a weekend.
