A studio built on a simple belief
Twirl began in 2014 with one conviction: that Singapore children deserve real, properly-graded dance training — and that none of it should come at the cost of the sheer joy of dancing.
Our founder, Rachel Foong, trained and performed in London before returning home to teach. Class after class, she saw the same false choice offered to families: a strict, joyless academy, or a fun-but-flimsy studio where children never really learned. She started Twirl to prove you can have both — a warm room where five-year-olds grin through their first plié, and seniors prepare for graded exams and the stage.
Twelve years on, more than nine hundred children dance with us each term across two studios, in five genres, from age three to sixteen. We’ve stayed small enough that every child is known by name, and serious enough that our dancers genuinely progress. That balance is the whole point of Twirl.

Age-tiered, graded levels
From Twinkle Tots at three to our Senior Company at sixteen, classes are pitched to the exact stage your child is at — never too easy, never overwhelming.
Small classes, real attention
We cap our class sizes deliberately, so each dancer gets noticed, corrected gently and given room to grow — never lost in a crowd of forty.
A real year-end recital
Every term builds toward a proper stage show with costumes and lights — the milestone that turns a class into a memory.
Optional graded exams
Families who want a measurable pathway can prepare for graded RAD examinations — entirely optional, never pushed.
