Junior Jazz & Funk is pure, infectious fun — the class where children grin the whole way through and still come out having learned a remarkable amount. Set to bright, age-right music, it builds the jazz vocabulary of isolations, kicks, turns and jumps, all wrapped in choreography designed to be performed with personality.
Jazz is wonderful for young dancers because it rewards expression as much as precision. A shy child often finds their spark here — there is no “perfect line” to fret over, just rhythm, attitude and the joy of moving to a song they love. Our teachers coach the technique while keeping the energy sky-high.
It is also our most-requested recital style, because a well-drilled jazz number simply lights up a stage. Across the term, dancers learn a full routine, sharpen their timing as a group, and gain the easy stage confidence that comes from genuinely enjoying every minute on the floor.
