Where real classical technique begins — posture, the five positions and the discipline that makes every other style easier.
Junior Ballet is the year technique gets serious — in the nicest possible way. Children meet the barre, learn the five positions, and start to understand turnout, posture and the quiet discipline that, frankly, makes every other dance style they ever try that much easier. We follow a syllabus aligned to RAD expectations, so progress is structured rather than random.
We are firm believers that ballet for young children should never be joyless. Our teachers keep the room kind and the corrections gentle, weaving in imagery and small games so a five-year-old absorbs real classical detail without ever feeling drilled. Good habits learned now save years of un-learning later.
Across the term, dancers build a short class they can perform, gain real control of their bodies, and — for those who want it — take the first steps toward graded examinations. Many of our strongest senior dancers started right here, in a Junior Ballet class, wobbling through their very first plié.
