It started with one bored rescue
Romp & Roam began the way a lot of good things do — with a problem we lived ourselves. Charlene was fostering an under-exercised rescue who turned the flat upside down every day she was at the office. The dog wasn’t naughty; he was bored, lonely and full of unspent energy. The daycares she tried felt like crowded holding pens. So she built the one she actually wanted.
We opened our Joo Chiat floor in 2018 with a simple rule: small, matched playgroups, a handler on the floor at all times, and a real day — play, a walk, a proper nap and brain games — not just a room of dogs left to it. Everything is force-free, the space is air-conditioned and purpose-built, and every dog goes home with a report card.
Years on, that hasn’t changed. We’re still small enough to know every dog by name and quirk, and we still treat each one the way we’d want our own treated. That’s the whole business.
Come and see for yourselfWhat makes a day here different
Real supervision, all day
Handlers stay on the floor with the dogs — not behind glass. We catch trouble before it starts and give every dog the play that suits them.
Small, sorted playgroups
Size- and temperament-matched groups, not one big free-for-all. A nervous toy breed is never bowled over by a bouncing labrador.
A report card every day
You get a daily card and photos at pickup — meals, naps, the walk and the friends. No wondering what your dog actually did all day.
Clean, cool, purpose-built
An air-conditioned floor with a separate dimmed nap room and a calm space for shy dogs — built for paws, not a converted office unit.
Force-free, always
Everything we do is reward-based and gentle. We build confident, settled dogs — never frightened ones.
Door-to-door dog bus
An air-conditioned pickup-and-drop service so a play day doesn’t mean a cross-island drive for you twice a day.
Meet the team
The people on the floor with your dog every day — small, consistent and genuinely dog-mad.
