Dog daycare FAQ

At Romp & Roam a trial day starts at $42, and ongoing daycare runs roughly $40–$48 a day depending on how many days a week you book and your dog’s size — the more regular days you commit to, the lower the per-day rate. Add-ons like a weekly bath, daily manners coaching or the dog bus are billed monthly on top. Every dog starts with a single assessed trial day. We introduce them carefully to a small, well-matched playgroup rather than throwing them into the crowd, watch how they cope, and keep a calm space ready for any dog who needs a breather. Nervous dogs often begin with half-days to build confidence before stepping up. And if we genuinely don’t think group daycare is right for your dog, we’ll say so upfront rather than take your money.

Never. Dogs are split into small groups by size and play style — a calmer small-dog room, a busy medium group, and a bigger space for the large bouncy ones — and a handler stays on the floor with each group the whole time. We rebalance groups as the day goes on, take scheduled water-and-rest breaks, and step in early when play gets too rough. Careful supervision is the entire point of doing it properly.

Drop-off is from 7.30am. Mornings are active play and a neighbourhood walk in the cooler hours; early afternoon is a real nap in our quiet, dimmed rest room; late afternoon is gentler games and enrichment before pickup by 7pm. Brain games, walks and (if added) short manners sessions are woven through the day. You get a report card and a couple of photos at pickup so you know exactly how the day went.

We ask that your dog’s core vaccinations are current, that they’re on a regular flea-and-tick routine, and that they’re reasonably sociable with other dogs — the trial day helps us confirm the last part. Bring your vaccination records, your usual food if they’re fussy, and let us know any quirks, allergies or things that worry them. Entire dogs over a certain age are assessed case by case for group fit.

Yes — our air-conditioned dog bus runs door-to-door pickup and drop, both ways, as a monthly add-on, covering the East and the South-West from our Joo Chiat and Pasir Panjang points. It means a play day for your dog doesn’t turn into two cross-island drives for you. Routes and timing depend on where you are, so message us your area and we’ll let you know straight whether it’s on our run.

We’re daytime daycare and a play centre — your dog romps, walks, naps and learns with us through the day and goes home to you each evening. We don’t do overnight boarding; the whole model is built around supervised daytime play and a tired, happy dog back on your sofa at night. If you need overnight care while you travel, we’re glad to point you to people we trust.

Yes. Daily manners coaching folds short, reward-based training into the play day — sit, recall, loose-lead and settle — and a weekly bath & tidy keeps a play-day dog clean with a brush-out and nail trim. Both are simple monthly add-ons to any daycare package, done by handlers your dog already knows, with no separate trips. The manners coaching is a guided add-on, not a replacement for dedicated one-to-one work on a serious behaviour case.

Everything you send across — your number, your dog’s records, the photos — is treated as confidential and held under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). It serves one purpose: setting up your bookings, sending your daily report cards and reaching you about your own dog. We won’t use it to market to you, and it stays inside our team.
