What it involves
A tired body is good; a tired brain is better. We rotate enrichment activities through the day — snuffle mats, puzzle feeders, scent-trail games, and simple problem-solving tasks — so dogs use their nose and their head, not just their legs. For clever, busy breeds, this is often what actually settles them.
The activities change week to week so it never goes stale, and they are pitched to the dog: a confident problem-solver gets a harder puzzle, a beginner gets an easy win. It is all force-free and reward-based — we are building a dog that enjoys thinking, not one that is drilled.
Enrichment is also our secret weapon for the rainy days when outdoor time is cut short, and for the over-aroused dogs who need a calmer, focused job to bring their energy back down. It is play with a point.
Good for
Clever, busy breeds and any dog that gets bored (and naughty) without a job to do.
A typical daycare day
Every dog’s day follows the same gentle rhythm — active, rested and supervised throughout.
