What to expect
By the time a pet has visibly brown teeth and a smell you notice across the room, dental disease is usually well advanced — and it hurts, even though animals are masters at hiding it. A dental visit starts with an awake assessment, then a thorough scale-and-polish under anaesthesia, because no dog or cat will hold still for the work a clean actually needs.
We do it properly and safely. Every dental patient is admitted for the day, gets a pre-anaesthetic check (and bloods where age or health warrants), is monitored throughout, and is sent home the same evening once fully awake. Where teeth are loose, fractured or rotten we discuss extractions with you first; dental X-rays show us the trouble hiding below the gumline.
The payoff is a pet that eats comfortably, smells better and feels brighter — owners are often surprised how much more playful they become. We finish with a realistic home-care plan, because the longer we can stretch the gap to the next clean, the better for your pet and your wallet.
