What does a Setpiece website actually do for my Singapore design-and-build studio?
It gives you a portfolio that wins briefs, not just one that looks the part — live in about a week from S$500 instead of a five-figure custom build. You get a portfolio-led site you can try in the live demo, a proposal funnel that turns browsers into briefs, a signature estimator that pre-qualifies leads, an asset you own outright, and running costs from S$15/mo rather than an open-ended retainer.
Speed and cost are the headline win. A bespoke studio website from a Singapore agency typically runs several thousand dollars and drags over weeks of calls, while a blank template builder is cheap but never does heavy stand and set photography justice. The Setpiece build gives you a polished, portfolio-led site, customised to your projects and brand, live in 7–14 days from S$500 — so you can send a real link to the next exhibitor who asks, this month rather than next quarter.
Crucially, it is built to win briefs, not just to be admired. Every element you can click in the live demo earns its place: the showcase work index lets a marketing lead jump straight to stands, museum sets or activations; the per-project case studies and full-bleed galleries let your builds breathe at full size; and the signature Exhibition Build Estimator lets a prospect size their own footprint, build type and fit-out into an indicative budget band before they ever pick up the phone — so the briefs that reach you are warmer and better-qualified.
Finally, it is an asset you own and can grow, not a rental. You keep 100% of the code and a self-editable CMS, so you add a new stand the week after the show, swap your hero image or update your services yourself without paying a developer per change. After launch you only pay what you choose — managed hosting from S$15/mo and optional care from S$150/mo — instead of an open-ended retainer. Start lean at S$500, then add a journal, an SEO pack, the booking-deposit funnel or a bigger project archive as the work comes in, up to S$1,800 for a fully loaded build.
- Launch in 7–14 days from S$500 — versus the several thousand dollars and weeks a custom studio website typically takes in Singapore.
- Proposal funnel built in: a showcase work index, per-project case studies and a proposal-request form designed to turn browsers into briefs.
- Better-qualified leads: the Exhibition Build Estimator lets a prospect size a footprint, build type and fit-out into a budget band before they enquire.
- Mobile-first and fast — the way most exhibitors and marketers first open your link — with heavy build photography tuned to Core Web Vitals.
- You own 100% of the code plus a self-editable CMS — add projects and edit services yourself, no agency lock-in or per-change fees.
- Predictable running costs: managed hosting from S$15/mo and optional care from S$150/mo, not an open-ended monthly retainer.

What problems does a done-for-you Setpiece site fix that DIY and freelancers don’t?
It removes the seven things that frustrate most Singapore design-and-build studios: slow launches, a site that undersells the craft, galleries that load slowly, sites you can’t update after a show, agency lock-in, no SEO and no obvious way to brief you. You get a complete, portfolio-led site with a signature estimator you own outright, live in 7–14 days from S$500.
Most studios try one of four routes and hit the same wall. A free template looks generic and crushes your full-bleed stand photography into slow, cramped grids. A cheap web freelancer can disappear mid-build or hand over something you cannot touch after the next show. A full agency may quote several thousand dollars and tie you to their platform. And DIY eats the evenings you would rather spend designing and on the workshop floor. The Setpiece build is designed to remove each of those frustrations, not just shuffle them around.
Speed and craft: instead of months of fiddling, your site is customised from a proven, portfolio-led exhibition demo and typically delivered in 7–14 days, with case studies laid out so each build loads sharp and full-bleed. Credibility: the showcase grid, client strip, testimonials and a clear studio story help a younger studio look established from day one — which matters when a marketing lead is deciding whether to trust you with a six-figure island stand.
Conversion: this is not a digital lookbook. The showcase work index, per-project case studies, the Exhibition Build Estimator and a clear proposal-request form are all built to move a viewer from admiring your stands to actually briefing you — the levers a project-led studio lives on. Most pretty portfolios quietly leak every lead because there is no obvious next step and no way to gauge budget.
Ownership and cost: you own 100% of the code and edit everything through a self-editable CMS, so you are never tied to an agency retainer. On-page SEO, GA4 and clean markup ship as standard. And pricing is a transparent customiser from S$500 to S$1,800 with 3 revision rounds included — no vague ‘it depends’ invoices.
- Too slow to launch → Your site is built from the live Setpiece demo and typically handed over in 7–14 days, so you can send a real link sooner.
- Undersells the craft → A portfolio-led showcase grid, full-bleed case studies and a client strip help your studio look established and bookable.
- Slow, cramped galleries → Full-bleed, lazy-loaded build photography tuned to Core Web Vitals so heavy image sets stay sharp and fast on mobile.
- Can’t update it after a show → A self-editable CMS plus a plain-English manual let you add a new stand or set without paying anyone.
- Locked into an agency → You own 100% of the code and can host it anywhere; managed hosting (from S$15/mo) and a care plan (from S$150/mo) are optional, never compulsory.
- No SEO foundation → On-page SEO, clean markup and GA4 ship as standard, with an advanced SEO/AEO pack available if you want to push harder on visibility.
- No way to brief you → A clear proposal-request form plus the Exhibition Build Estimator, so interested clients have an obvious next step and a budget anchor.

SGBP vs a Singapore agency, freelancer or DIY — which is right for your studio site?
For a Singapore set or exhibition designer site, SGBP customises the live Setpiece demo in 7–14 days from S$500 to S$1,800, and you own 100% of the code with no lock-in. Singapore agencies typically quote far more over several weeks; web freelancers vary widely; DIY template builders are cheapest in cash but slow and rarely do full-bleed build photography justice.
Most Singapore agencies do excellent work, but a custom studio website is often a four- to five-figure scope spread over several weeks of discovery calls, wireframes and revisions — and many keep you on their platform and a retainer. You can end up paying for process you do not need when there is already a proven, portfolio-led exhibition design ready to customise to your builds.
A web freelancer can be cheaper and faster, but quality, code ownership and follow-up swing widely from person to person — and studio-specific touches like a showcase work index, per-project case studies, full-bleed galleries and a build estimator are rarely built in. DIY on a template builder is the lowest cash outlay, but it can quietly cost you evenings, and the result often squeezes your stand photography into slow, generic grids that undersell the craft.
SGBP sits in between on purpose: you start from the live Setpiece demo, so you can see exactly what you are buying before you commit, then we customise it to your brand, projects and services. Every build ships with on-page SEO (with an SEO/AEO upgrade option), SSL, GA4, a proposal form, PDPA-aware data handling, a self-editable CMS and a handover manual — the things that often become paid ‘add-ons’ elsewhere.
- Time and cost: 7–14 days, from S$500 to S$1,800 one-time, versus the weeks and far higher fees a custom agency build typically involves.
- Ownership: you keep 100% of the code and a CMS you can edit yourself — no agency lock-in.
- See before you buy: the live Setpiece demo is the actual product, so there is no guesswork about quality or layout.
- Built for studios: showcase work index, case studies, full-bleed galleries and the build estimator are part of the build, not quoted extra.
- Singapore-ready: a proposal-request form, SGD budgets, PayNow and PDPA-aware data handling.
- Optional, not obligatory: managed hosting from S$15/mo and a Care plan from S$150/mo if you want it hands-off — never required to launch.

What is under the hood of your Setpiece site?
Under the hood is static-first Astro, exactly what this demo runs on, or a hardened WordPress, Webflow or Squarespace-style build, served over a global CDN with modern image compression and caching. It is fast even with heavy build galleries, WCAG 2.2 AA accessible, SSL-secured, PDPA-aware, and yours to deploy anywhere.
The native build, exactly what this demo runs on, is static-first Astro with a headless CMS and minimal JavaScript — ideal for a portfolio-led studio site because pages stay light even when a project carries a dozen full-bleed build frames. Prefer a hosted platform? We build a hardened WordPress (+S$250), Webflow (+S$200) or Squarespace-style (+S$200) site instead. Whichever you choose, it is served over a global CDN with modern compression and caching.
We tune hard for Core Web Vitals because galleries are where most studio sites die. Images are lazy-loaded in modern formats (WebP/AVIF) with set dimensions to avoid layout shift, and the showcase work index stays snappy on mobile — where most marketers and exhibitors first open your link from an email or LinkedIn.
SSL/HTTPS and security headers are enforced, the proposal form is spam-protected, and data handling is PDPA-aware. Add the deposit feature and you get PCI-compliant payments through HitPay, including PayNow, so a client can secure a project slot on the spot. You own 100% of the source code, with no lock-in, so you can host with us from S$15/mo or deploy anywhere yourself.
- Static-first Astro, or a hardened WordPress, Webflow or Squarespace-style build
- Image-optimised: lazy-loaded WebP/AVIF, set dimensions for full-bleed galleries
- Core Web Vitals tuned; WCAG 2.2 AA accessible, semantic HTML
- SSL/HTTPS and security headers; PDPA-aware proposal handling
- PCI-compliant deposit payments via HitPay with PayNow (booking add-on)
- Clean SEO markup, XML/image sitemaps and GA4 included as standard
- 100% source-code ownership, no lock-in, deploy anywhere

Will my Setpiece site rank on Google and get quoted when someone asks an AI for a Singapore exhibition designer?
Every build ships search-ready: clean semantic HTML, a JSON-LD schema graph (CreativeWork, ImageObject, Organization, LocalBusiness, FAQ, Breadcrumb), fast Core Web Vitals, XML/image sitemaps and Search Console. Answer-first copy and Singapore signals — SGD budgets, PDPA, areaServed Singapore — give Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and voice assistants the structure they need to surface and quote you. No rankings are guaranteed.
Plenty of done-for-you studio sites are built to look good and little else — images with no alt text, slow pages, no structured data — so neither Google nor AI engines can really tell who you are or what you build. We build the opposite. Your Setpiece site ships with clean semantic HTML5, correct heading order, descriptive alt text on every project image, canonical tags and a tidy URL structure — the foundation search engines and crawlers reward. Rankings always depend on your niche and competition, but the technical groundwork is done right from day one.
Here is what the jargon means in plain terms. SEO helps you rank on Google for searches like ‘exhibition booth designer Singapore’ or ‘museum set fabrication Singapore’. AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) and AIO (AI Optimisation) help your studio get surfaced and quoted by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews when someone asks ‘who builds custom exhibition stands in Singapore?’. GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) makes sure those answers know you serve Singapore and the regional halls. Voice covers Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa — short, spoken-friendly answers they can read aloud.
The engine behind this is a JSON-LD schema graph baked into every page: CreativeWork and ImageObject markup so your projects are machine-readable; Organization and LocalBusiness markup so your studio name, Tai Seng base and service area are unambiguous; FAQPage so your timeline and budget answers can be lifted into AI replies; and BreadcrumbList so categories like Work → Exhibitions → Island Stand are crawlable. The advanced SEO/AEO pack adds speakable markup, Bing and Search Console setup and an answer-engine optimisation pass — an optional upgrade on the S$500 base build.
- Clean semantic markup: HTML5 structure, logical headings, descriptive alt text and canonical tags — built for crawlers and AI parsers, not just browsers.
- Full JSON-LD schema graph: CreativeWork, ImageObject, Organization, LocalBusiness, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList — your projects, studio and FAQs become readable by Google and AI engines.
- Fast Core Web Vitals: image-optimised, mobile-first pages — page experience is a Google ranking factor and keeps clients from bouncing off a slow gallery.
- Answer-first content: about, services and FAQ copy written question-led and concise, so AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity can quote it and voice assistants can read it aloud.
- Sitemaps & Search Console: XML and image sitemaps plus robots.txt submitted to Google (and Bing) so new projects get found and indexed sooner.
- Singapore signals: SGD budgets, PDPA-aware data handling, areaServed Singapore and natural local terms (Singapore Expo, Marina Bay Sands) so you surface for local searches.
- On-page SEO on every page, included from the S$500 base — titles, meta descriptions, Open Graph and Twitter cards for clean social and AI link previews.
- You own 100% of the code with a self-editable CMS — add a project and its SEO fields and schema update automatically, no developer needed.

What does each page of my Setpiece site actually look like?
You get a full studio website, not a template: a portfolio-led homepage with a dark hero and showcase grid, a work index across your build types, per-project case studies with full-bleed galleries, alternating-card service pages, the Exhibition Build Estimator, an about/studio page, reviews, an FAQ and a working proposal-request page — rebuilt with your work, brand and SGD budgets.
We start from the live Setpiece demo and rebuild every page around your projects, brand and tone. Nothing stays as filler: your stand and set photography, project titles, clients, copy, build types and studio story replace the demo content, and each page keeps the features that make the demo work — the showcase grid, the alternating service rows, the case-study galleries and the estimator — wired to your own work.
Every page ships mobile-first with clean SEO markup, a spam-protected proposal form and a self-editable CMS, so you can swap a hero image, add a new stand or update your services long after handover. The pages below are what is included in the base S$500 build; project-archive size, a journal, advanced SEO and the booking/deposit features are where the customiser adds cost, up to S$1,800.
Singapore signals are built in where they help clients trust and brief you: budgets show in S$, the proposal form is PDPA-aware, and the optional deposit runs through PayNow / HitPay. You own 100% of the code, and it is typically delivered in 7–14 days.
- Homepage — a full-bleed dark photographic hero, a clients strip, a split intro with a quick-brief form, a showcase work grid, alternating offset service cards, a locations grid, a stats band, testimonials and a mint proposal band — all rebranded to you.
- Work index — the showcase grid as a full page, so a marketing lead can scan stands, museum sets and activations and click straight through to any project case study.
- Project page — a single case study per build: a full-bleed hero image, an italic intro, the story behind the design and build, a 2×2 build gallery and a client/scope/outcome strip.
- Services — alternating offset cards across your six build types, each linking to a dedicated service page with scope, what’s included and recent builds.
- Service detail — a full-bleed hero, the cadence and from-budget line, three paragraphs of real scope detail, an included checklist and a related-work row.
- Exhibition Build Estimator — the signature interactive tool: a prospect picks a footprint, a build complexity and fit-out elements and sees a live indicative budget band, then requests a proposal with the selection pre-filled.
- About — your studio story, an honest stats band, why-us cards, a how-a-project-runs sequence, the team and your studio and workshop locations.
- Reviews — client testimonials with the project each used, a stats band and a brands-built-for strip for instant credibility.
- Contact — a working proposal-request form with build-type and timeline routing, WhatsApp and a PDPA consent checkbox, plus your studio and workshop addresses.

Can the Setpiece site scale from 6 projects to a 20+ archive with a full proposal funnel as my studio grows?
Yes. Your site starts lean at 6 projects and scales to a 20+ archive with faceted category navigation, plus a journal, a services section and a full proposal-to-deposit funnel. Add WhatsApp enquiries, a testimonials wall and the estimator as you grow. Because you own 100% of the code, nothing holds you back from extending it.
Most Singapore studios launch with a tight edit and grow the book as the shows come in. The Setpiece build is made for that curve. Day one you might show 6 of your strongest builds. As your portfolio deepens, the customiser lets you step up to 12, 20, or a 20+ archive with faceted category navigation and tags, so adding a new island stand or museum set is a CMS upload rather than a rebuild. The showcase work index, alternating service rows and case-study galleries you saw in the demo keep a large body of work easy to browse on any phone.
Growth is not only more projects, it is more demand and more ways to be briefed. The native Astro build shown in the demo is delivered as a fast, static, mobile-first site served over a global CDN, so a feature in a trade publication, a viral post or a big show launch is far less likely to slow it down or run up a server bill, and your optional Managed Hosting keeps it online. (If you choose WordPress, Webflow or a Squarespace-style build instead, you get a hardened, CDN-served build on that platform.) When you are ready to convert more of that attention, add the proposal form with a PayNow deposit, the Exhibition Build Estimator that lets prospects self-qualify, and WhatsApp click-to-chat for fast replies.
Moving into new lines — permanent interiors, regional shows, experiential campaigns? A journal, services pages, and testimonials/client logos can all be layered in, with SGD budgets and PDPA-aware enquiries staying native for your Singapore clients. The real future-proofing, though, is ownership: you hold 100% of the code with a self-editable CMS, delivered with a handover manual in 7–14 days. You are never trapped by a locked template or an app you cannot change — when your studio outgrows today’s setup, the same codebase extends instead of forcing you to start over.
- Portfolio scales from 6 to a 20+ archive; large bodies of work onboard via the CMS with faceted category navigation and tags
- Showcase work index, alternating service rows and case-study galleries keep a big archive fast and browsable on mobile
- The native Astro build is static and CDN-served, so it stays fast through a trade-press feature or a show launch; WordPress / Webflow / Squarespace-style builds are hardened and CDN-served too
- Add a proposal funnel as you grow: a proposal-request form with a PayNow deposit, plus the Exhibition Build Estimator so prospects self-qualify
- Add channels: WhatsApp click-to-chat enquiries and a testimonials/client-logo wall
- Add new lines easily: a journal and services pages, with SGD budgets and PDPA-aware enquiries native for Singapore
- You own 100% of the code, so there is no forced re-platform and no lock-in as your studio scales

Can I run my Setpiece site myself without a developer?
Yes. Your site is delivered with a self-editable CMS, so you add a new project, reorder your work, swap a hero image, edit your services and check your GA4 numbers without touching code. Every task is documented in a plain-English handover manual, and you own 100% of the build. Most non-technical studio owners get the hang of it quickly.
Running a studio site is mostly small, repeatable updates: a new stand just delivered, a fresh hero image after a big show, a tweak to a service description, a ‘now taking 2026 briefs’ note. We build all of this into a clean CMS dashboard, so you log in, change the thing you came to change and hit publish. No staging files, no FTP, no ‘please email the developer’ — your changes go live on the site.
Each module from the live demo has a matching settings panel. Your project images and galleries, the build type each project belongs to, the order of your showcase grid, your studio story and team, the client strip, the proposal-form routing and the estimator’s rates are all configurable from labelled fields, not buried in code. SGD budgets are wired into the services and estimator so everything stays accurate as you grow.
Your site is delivered in 7–14 days with on-page SEO, SSL, GA4 and a PDPA-aware setup. If you ever get stuck, the step-by-step handover manual walks through every task above, and your 3 included revision rounds (plus an optional Care plan from S$150/mo) mean help is on hand. But the day-to-day is genuinely designed for a non-technical studio owner to run solo.
- Add or edit a project — upload your build photos, set the title, client, venue, year and build type, write a short story, and it appears in the showcase grid, work index and case-study gallery automatically.
- Reorder your work — drag projects to control what a marketing lead sees first, and feature your strongest builds at the top of the grid.
- Swap a hero or frame — change the homepage hero, a project cover or any image in a gallery in a click, with new formats compressed automatically.
- Edit your studio & team — update your studio story, stats, team bios and client strip as the studio grows.
- Update services & budgets — edit your build types, scope copy and from-budget lines on the services pages; SGD figures stay consistent across the site.
- Tune the estimator — adjust the per-m² build rates and fit-out rates so the indicative budget band stays in line with your real pricing.
- Configure enquiries — set the proposal-form routing, point WhatsApp to your number, and (if added) connect the PayNow/HitPay deposit and run a test.
- Check your GA4 numbers — see visitors, top projects and proposal submissions in Google Analytics, so you know which builds pull briefs and what to promote.

Set & exhibition designer website — frequently asked questions
Quick answers on cost, ownership, timelines, platforms, the build estimator, proposals, image performance, SEO, PDPA and revisions for a done-for-you set and exhibition designer website in Singapore.
How much does a set or exhibition designer website cost in Singapore?
A done-for-you studio website in Singapore costs between S$500 and S$1,800 with SGBP. The S$500 base covers a complete, mobile-ready, portfolio-led site; the price rises only as you add a platform, more projects, the build estimator or branding. You see the exact figure live in the customiser before you pay.
What exactly do I get for the price?
You get a fully designed and developed site built from the Setpiece demo, your projects laid out as case studies with full-bleed galleries, the Exhibition Build Estimator, a self-editable CMS, full source-code ownership, on-page SEO, SSL, GA4, a proposal-request form and a step-by-step handover manual. Everything you select in the customiser is listed in your order summary.
How long does it take to build and launch?
Most studio sites are designed, built and launched in 7 to 14 days from payment. A larger project archive, a deposit funnel or custom branding can sit at the upper end of that range. We send a private preview link first, you use your revisions, then we launch on your domain.
Do I own the website and can I edit it myself?
Yes. You own 100% of the code and the site outright — there is no licence trap and no agency lock-in. Every build ships with a self-editable CMS so you can add projects, reorder your work, swap images and edit services yourself, with a plain-English manual to guide you.
Which platform should I choose — native, WordPress, Webflow or Squarespace-style?
The native Astro build (shown in the demo) is the fastest and cheapest to run and the best for loading heavy build galleries and for SEO. Choose WordPress for full control and plugins, Webflow for a visual editor, or a Squarespace-style builder if you prefer to edit everything visually. The customiser shows the price difference for each.
What is the Exhibition Build Estimator and how does it work?
It is the signature interactive tool on the demo. A prospect picks a footprint (from a shell scheme to a headline set), a build complexity (modular, custom or immersive) and any fit-out elements (AV, lighting, joinery, graphics and more), and the tool multiplies the area by a per-m² build rate, adds the fit-out rates, and shows a live indicative budget band — then lets them request a proposal with the selection pre-filled. It pre-qualifies leads and anchors budget before the first call.
Can prospects request a proposal or pay a deposit?
Yes. Every build includes a working proposal-request form with build-type and timeline routing. Add the deposit feature and it extends into a flow that captures the project and takes a securing deposit via PayNow or HitPay, with an SGD invoice and a confirmation email — so a keen client can lock a workshop slot on the spot.
Will my heavy build galleries still load fast?
Yes — image performance is the whole point of a portfolio-led build. We serve modern WebP/AVIF formats, lazy-load below the fold, set image dimensions to avoid layout shift, and keep the showcase grid light. The native Astro build stays fast even with big full-bleed galleries, which keeps your Core Web Vitals and client first impressions strong.
Will the site rank on Google and show up in AI search?
Yes. Every build ships with an SEO foundation — clean markup, fast Core Web Vitals, image sitemaps and structured data. The Advanced SEO / AEO pack adds a full schema graph, answer-engine optimisation and Search Console setup so you can be found on Google for searches like ‘exhibition booth designer Singapore’ and quoted by AI assistants like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.
Is my enquiry and client data handled safely under PDPA?
Yes. We handle proposal and booking data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), any deposit payments run through PCI-compliant HitPay, and your site is delivered with SSL/HTTPS by default. We never sell your data, and the proposal form is spam-protected.
What are revisions and how many are included?
A revision is a round of changes you request after seeing your preview — image sequencing, layout tweaks, colour/type adjustments, copy edits and the like. Three rounds are included free. If you want more breathing room you can add extra rounds at S$200 each in the customiser.
Is the design unique or a template?
You start from the proven Setpiece design you can see and click in the live demo, then we customise it to you — your name, wordmark, colours, projects, build types, copy and budgets. It is a tailored build on a battle-tested, portfolio-led foundation, not a generic theme dump that crushes your stand photography into a slow grid.
Who is this website right for?
It suits set, exhibition and experiential designers, but also stand contractors, scenic builders, museum and gallery fit-out studios, brand-activation agencies and event production firms — any Singapore studio that wins work by showing the spaces it has built. Anyone who needs a portfolio-led site, case studies and a clear way for clients to brief them will get value from it.
