We design the space,
then build it ourselves.
A Singapore set, exhibition and experiential design studio that designs the space and then actually builds it — trade-show stands, museum sets, retail installations, brand activations and stage builds, drawn in our Tai Seng studio and fabricated in our own Kallang workshop.
Built for brands & organisations across the region
Spatial design that gets fabricated, not filed away
Plenty of studios will hand you a beautiful render and leave the building to someone else. Setpiece does both under one roof — concept in our Tai Seng studio, fabrication on our own Kallang floor — so the curve curves, the deadline holds, and the thing you signed off is the thing that turns up on the show floor.
Trade-show stands, museum sets, retail installations, brand activations and stage builds, drawn and made by one accountable team.
We design for the walk-in
Whether it is a packed exhibition aisle, a museum gallery or a mall atrium, the same truth holds: people decide spatially before they read a word. Setpiece designs the floor plan, the sightline and the hero moment first, then builds it to a standard you can stand inside and feel proud of.
We started Setpiece in 2014 frustrated that the design team and the build team were never the same conversation, so the clever detail got value-engineered out somewhere between the render and the show floor. We set it up the other way round: one studio that draws and one workshop that makes, under a single accountability, so the idea survives all the way to the installed wall.
Since then we have built more than 240 stands, sets and installations across Singapore Expo, Marina Bay Sands and eleven overseas halls — for fintech islands and heritage galleries, beauty pop-ups and bank galas alike.

What we do
One spatial-design discipline applied across six kinds of build — temporary and permanent, here and overseas.

Exhibition & Trade-Show Stands
Custom and modular stands that earn a walk-in off the aisle — designed in-house, built on our own floor and installed by our own crew at Singapore Expo, Sands and overseas halls.

Museum & Exhibition Sets
Narrative-led exhibition environments for galleries, heritage spaces and corporate showcases — sets that carry a visitor through a story, not just past a row of panels.

Retail & Showroom Installations
Pop-ups, window installations, shop-in-shops and showroom fit-outs that turn a brand into somewhere you stand inside — quick to install, photogenic, and built to survive a season of handling.

Brand Activations & Experiences
Experiential builds that put people inside the brand — roadshow arenas, sampling structures, interactive sets and launch experiences designed to be walked through and shared.
View moreWhere we build, make & install
From our home halls in Singapore to the regional exhibition circuit — we plan the freight, the passes and the on-site reality, so an overseas show is managed, not a gamble.
"Keeping the drawing and the making under one roof is the only way the considered detail actually survives to the show floor. Everything else is a render someone else has to interpret."
— Linus Teoh, Design Director
- We build what we draw. Design and fabrication share one roof and our own workshop, so the curve curves, the laminate matches your swatch, and the detail survives from concept to installed wall.
- Spatial thinking first. We design the floor plan, the sightlines and the journey before the graphics, because whether someone walks in is decided in three dimensions, not on a banner.
- Our own install crew. The team that builds it installs it. Call times, rigging, compliance and overnight strikes are handled by people who know the build, not a subcontractor meeting it cold.
- Reusable by design. For exhibitors doing several shows a year we design modular systems that reconfigure between footprints, so the spend compounds across the calendar instead of going to landfill.
- Home halls and overseas. From Singapore Expo and Marina Bay Sands to the regional circuit, we plan the freight, the passes and the on-site reality so an overseas show is managed, not a leap of faith.
What clients say
"Setpiece designed our island around how people actually move through a packed hall, and it showed — the suspended sign was readable across the floor and our meeting pods stayed full all three days. Because they built it themselves, nothing got lost between the render and the real thing."
"They understood that the set serves the collection, not the other way round. The casework is conservation-grade and genuinely lovely, the lighting is gentle on the objects, and the visitor journey flows exactly the way we storyboarded it. A rare combination of craft and care."
"Our launch arena was the talk of the media days — an interactive zone people queued for and a hero moment that filled everyone’s feed. It held its energy through a full week of high traffic and our on-ground team could run it without anyone from Setpiece babysitting it."
