Telok Blend is the coffee Subtext is built on. It’s a two-origin blend we roast every week at the Telok Ayer bar — a Brazilian base for body and chocolate, a washed Colombian for a little brightness and sweetness on top.
We roast it to a medium that’s forgiving on the machine and friendly with milk, because it has to perform from the first cup of a rush to the last. It’s what fills the hoppers at both bars.
At home it makes a generous, comforting espresso and an excellent stovetop moka. If you want one bag that just works every morning, this is it.
