I went in sceptical — another omakase opening in a year that already has plenty — and left a convert. The 12-seat counter feels intimate without being precious, and the chef talks you through each course at exactly the pace you want.
The standout was a charcoal-grilled nodoguro that arrived blistered and glistening, paired with a dab of yuzu kosho that cut straight through the fat. The rice was warm, loosely packed and seasoned with a red vinegar that leaned savoury rather than sweet.
At this price it isn’t a casual weeknight booking, but for a milestone dinner it earns the splurge. Reserve well ahead — the counter is already booking three weeks out.
