About Pirouette

The warm, high-standard studio we wished we’d grown up in

The bright, mirrored Pirouette dance studio
Our story

A studio built on joy and care

Pirouette began with a simple belief: that learning to dance should fill a child with confidence, not fear. Our founder Clarissa trained in classical ballet from the age of four and danced professionally before teaching — and along the way saw too many studios that put medals before children. She wanted to build the opposite.

So Pirouette holds technique to a genuinely high bar, but teaches it with patience and warmth. We group dancers by age and stage, keep classes caring and unhurried, and celebrate effort as much as achievement. Twelve years on, hundreds of dancers a year pass through our two studios — from wobbly first steps to graded examinations and the big stage.

Whether your child is a future soloist or just here for the joy of moving to music, they’ll be known by name, taught well, and sent home a little taller than they arrived.

What makes us, us

Six reasons families stay

A genuinely nurturing studio

We believe a child should leave class taller and happier, not anxious. Standards stay high; the atmosphere stays warm and encouraging.

Strong technical foundations

Ballet and contemporary built on Royal Academy of Dance foundations, with optional graded examinations for those who want them.

A style for every dancer

Ballet, jazz, hip-hop, K-Pop, contemporary, acro and parent-child — so every child, teen and adult finds the class that fits.

Teachers who stay

Trained, vetted, caring teachers who know your dancer by name and stay term after term, building real, trusting relationships.

Two easy-to-reach studios

Bright, mirrored studios in Marine Parade and Bukit Timah, both a short walk from the MRT, with sprung floors and barres.

Real stages to shine on

Showcases, community performances and a flagship year-end concert give every dancer a genuine, confidence-building moment in the spotlight.
